No offense; but I suggest the situation doesn't cover everyone, and "ALWAYS" seems unlikely.

Perhaps you're among those that don't??? Certainly you could pray in a more private setting; or depending on your belief system; pray constantly in shot spurts; tuning out exterior distractions. OR pray in a group, also praying at the same time.

You might also explain to PEOPLE who seem to interrupt; that you'd prefer to have TIME alone to do what you do. As far as the phone is concerned; I personally find it an offensive intrusion at any time; but I seem to recall it has Mute and Off features built in.

Because you're trying to pray at times which are not suitable to others. Try to restrict your prayers for times when you actually need to pray, rather than interrupting the daily happenings with this incessant need to talk to the clouds.

You may be off in dream land, but most people are trying to get on with things. Don't be so selfish in future !!

Try praying before you go to bed at night. Take the phone off the hook first. And if your mam is coming into your room to bother you at night, firstly... buy a lock for your door, and secondly, WORRY.

99% of them that disturb you are letting satan put a innocent thought in their minds, & without the person even knowing it disturbs you, that don't make a person demon possed, I know a few times I have been praying My wife will not know I am praying & ask me something, & I have done her the same way a few times, not knowing she is praying, This don't make anyone evil, I have noticed many times when my wife & I start to pray together, the phone rings, or someone come up to the house. So we learned to take the phone of the receiver.

I know what you mean - now it seems whenever I try to pray, my dogs come into the room and start licking my hands; as if on direct cue from Satan!

I think we just need to persevere - find a quiet place, lock the door, whatever it takes - and also learn to pray "on-the-go" as it were, eyes wide open, in quiet heartfelt meditation and petition to God. I'm sure He will hear us even if we aren't in full pious prayer mode!

if you'll change your statement and say "when I want to pray nobody is disturbing me " it will be good start :0))
what I mean is that YOU are the first obstacle in achieving what you want, the prayer, and will be a good proof for you that you want to change sth and don't look for any pretexts; just let your thoughts flow (even if you have the impression that you think too much ) and pray, God will receive you with all your imperfections ( like any of us ).
hope it helps:0))

It is a satan thing. If he can't keep you from being a Christian, he will try to mess other things up.

Prayer is huge in its importance. More than almost anything we do as believers. That is enough for satan to want to interfere with it.

Don't get mad, get determined. Just persevere and also ask God to help you safeguard your quiet prayer times with Him.

Speaking of which, I need to get off Y/A and spend some time with my favorite being, Jesus.

Hang in there, my friend. You're ahead of so many who don't even recognize God's importance or place in their lives.

when you decide you want to pray...go to a empty room, shut the door, pray, dont answer the phone are door , just ignore everything and pray...then...go back to your regular day. Maybe the very best thing to do is say your prayers after you go to bed at night and everythings quiet. :)

Try closing your door or pray when the lights are off and you're pretending to sleep.
