It doesn't matter if the things he does is good or bad, since they're merely concepts. What matters are the actions he takes. Even if he were good, would you still follow orders without hesitation? And if he were bad, how could you kill him?
By the way, this "god" would have invulnerability to the weapons of man, immortality and superhuman strength.

If you're a Christian, let's just say that Satan imbued this man with his abilities. The "Anti-Christ" I suppose.

Also, let's say he could prove to the world he was a god. Such as teleportation to different parts of the world. Would you really renounce God and follow him?

OPM, your answer reminds me of the insane "god-emperor," Caligula.

I certainly wouldn't follow him. This "god" is announced in Revelation, and as you say, will be "invulnerable". This is Antichrist, who is not worthy to be followed and will have to impose his rule on the world. Some will be ignorant enough to be bedazzled by the "signs and wonders" while others will realise what is going on.
Actions that appear "good" can be bad, depending on the motivation behind them and the final results. Hitler started out looking "good" to Germany, promising economic recovery etc. People like Bill Gates do "good" works by donating a few of their many megamillions, but their real motivation is tax shelter and self-image.

Well you included part of the answer I was going to give in your additional details. What you are describing is pretty much the way the AntiChrist is described in the book of Revelation. I'm sure hoping and praying that the Christians are delivered from going through this--I lean toward the PreTribulation Rapture interpretation of the End Time sequence.
However, if we are still around for the emergence of this figure, I would do my best to protect my family and get through this time. With a husband and a son in the military, it's a very real fear that this world leader would either be their Commander-in-Chief at some point or emerge as the leader of an "evil empire" that they might come up against. We pray daily for guidance to know how to live "in this world, but not of it" as the Scriptures instruct. We couldn't kill him, and wouldn't survive openly going against him--the Bible says those who do will die a martyr's death. If it came to that, I would pray for the strength to not falter, and pray for protection and deliverance for my children and any other loved ones I might leave behind. But, like I stated, I am praying and there is quite a bit of Biblical evidence to support the theory that Christians will be delivered from going through this tribulation--it is designed by God to give the Jews a way back to Him and to bring about world events for the ultimate victory of good over evil through the return of Christ. If you are a Christian, don't let these end time events trouble you, just let them make you live ready and keeping your spriritually discerning eyes open. If you aren't, the idea of this evil supernatural world leader coming to deceive and control all those who aren't Christians should be a reason to believe, especially when you see more and more world events coming together to make this scenario seem more plausible and more imminent.

Wow! Good question.
It will be interesting to see what really happens when he does come; I actually believe that he will be coming soon and many of the things and events taking place as I write this answer are preparation for his entrance. I find it intriguing because the Bible says that even some of the elect will be fooled into thinking he is God. This is the time to prepare as I'm sure that lines of communication (Internet and radio) that are used to send out The Word will be taken away in those days and anyone with a Bible will be called a heretic and taken into custody. Be ready my friends as the days are short! Don't say you had no warning when the day comes.

I have been trying to get people to realize I am the God-Emperor of the Earth for a while now. Just so it is understood, I am only partially omnipotent and partially omniscient. The problem is that my Divine Power is a function of my Real World Power. As I grow in Power as God-Emperor, my Divinity increases. I am hoping my followers help me take over a small country as a base of operations to spread the good news. Maybe Barbados or something can be the beginnings of my Serene Empire. Of course all opposition will be ruthlessly quashed in order to make the world a better place.
As apotheosis makes me increasingly divine, I find that I become less vulnerable to the things of the Earth. I catch the flu less often now, for example. Still, my power is to be mighty and is growing every day. I am sure, with enough money and power, I can do all kinds of wonders. I might even hire Industrial Light and Magic to film my biography.
Further, as God Emperor I cannot be bad, by definition. If you follow me, then you are good, by definition. If you oppose me, my minions will crush you like a bug, to purify the world to the way of goodness and light.
Peace.

The moment a man (or woman) claim to be The God... he or she is lying and should be fought against.
Jesus never claimed to be The God either. That is something people after him made up but somehow there is a huge number of people believing it.

Can he prove he's god, outside of the examples you gave? I wouldn't follow this person without absolute proof, for example, could they make it rain on a perfectly sunny day? Can they make a bologna sandwich appear on my plate out of thin air? Can they disappear right before my eyes and reappear in Sri Lanka 2 seconds later? Can they tell me things about myself that no one else ever would know, or could know?
Maybe if they did all that I'd believe it.

while God first created the earth and mankind, it replaced right into a threat for Adam and Eve to work out Him. there replaced into no sin interior the international, so He got here and talked and frolicked with them. It replaced into mans option to sin and close God from his presence. So now we wait on God finding out the time is stable to place an end to our stupidity. Beulah

Fight. He's already mentally ill with that declaration.
The one people think was a Christian god was also a delusional insane man.

Fight... it doesn't matter what man "reveals" himself as. It wouldn't be God. He has already been to earth as a Man once, and like someone else said, He won't do so again.

I'll not follow, unless I have to, but I'd rather run then fight, I would be stupid to fight a crazy, but very powerful man.
