i have a tooth that sticks out and theres a gap between my teeth. it really annoys me because now and then my gums hurt. im on benefits so i was wondering if i have to pay for crowns?

I don't believe a crown is what you're looking for. Crowns are to repair broken or otherwise damaged teeth. If you have a tooth that's sticking out, or otherwise out of alignment and a gap in your teeth, only braces can correct that. You can see a dentist and let them know that the tooth hurts your gums. The dentist can advise what your options are.

I don't know which country you're in but going to assume Australia as I've got to this page via Yahoo.com.au. In which case, I don't think there is any free dental care in Australia at all.

If you are in the UK then you may be able to get free or heavily-subsidised dental care if you get an NHS dentist.

Yes you get your crown for free if you are on benefits...
All other crowns you have to be royality !

dream on sarah. Floss is cheaper than a crown and no one does something for nothing. Unless you find a dentist who will trade sex for a crown............But then, is even that really "free"?
