There are some products on the market to diminish the appearance of scars, Mederma, Bio-Oil, Prefer-On. However, most large or deep scars are lifelong. Surgical scars, or other deep tissue scars will be with you forever. Some other scars, such as those from slight scratches, or other wounds that don't penetrate into your tissue, and are only skin deep, will heal and fade over time.

Vitamin E capsules, available at health food store or drug store, will soften the scar ridge and help the gross discoloration. If money is scarce (as it is everywhere), then get some cocoa butter at your local Dollar store. Results take longer, but results will be the same. I have used both and was happy with results. Scars will never disappear but be made almost invisible with proper therapy. Good luck and God bless!
