why does it have to be a religion, why not just an opinion
religions do not hold any answers.
convert from what????
animals are superior to humans, they lack the common human characteristic of greed. an animal takes what it needs.
animals are however part of a food chain, as are we. we eat animals, thats the way its meant to be. however, i do disagree with the hunting for fun and raising animals for food.

Hinduism, i was on my way from college today and i saw them worshipping a Goat, they were putting some powder over it, dancing all around it with leaves in their hands and some people had a drum they were playing , i dont think the goat knew what the hell was goin on, poor thing. Yea if u are looking for a relegion that has utmost respect for animals then go ahead hinduism is it. I even saw some of them drinking cows urine. That is how much they respect animals. Good luck!!!

Many forms of Paganism regard all life as being equal. One of the key features of Pagan religions, aside from the fact that many are nature-based and/or earth-centered, is that they are considered "questing" religions. That is, a questing religion allows the individual to seek the truth as it is for him or her. (There is a lovely quote, but I cannot remember who said it: "Say not you have found THE truth, but rather A truth", or something like that...) But back to my original point, in Paganism, generally speaking, all life is sacred. The only difference between man and animal is our own interpretation of ourselves. This difference does not make us better; no, in a way it makes us a little more removed from nature, from the cycles that govern all life. We are different, but not better. I hope this helped!

It is easier to have a relationship with animals then people and although rewarding, they are a different species; not everyone is conceded; change where you look for your acquaintances.

Buddhism my friend. They believe everything is part of a greater energy from the smallest insect to the largest Whale. Buddhism is absolutely about the opposite of conceit.

do you mean conceited?
Man is made a little lower than the angels, and animals are made lower than man. I have heart-felt hopes that my pets are in Heaven waiting for me. I have specifically prayed for this, and because God is my Heavenly Father I feel He will grant this request. God provided a scared, ragged dog for me when I was at my lowest. I scooped Angel off the side of a busy highway. After finding the owner via a radio ad, the owner came to get her but before leaving asked if I would keep her because his health was bad. Well that was like a huge gift for me. She spent every moment with me until she died a year and a half later of old age. She's waiting for me. We were bonded and in love as soon as I scooped her up that first day.
