what do you tell someone if you have planned a vaction to Hawaii and they invite themselves along?

tell them you hope they can afford their own plane ticket, hotel room and rental car, because you aren't sharing.

Tell them that if they plan to come along that you expect them to pay for their portion of the costs (i.e. half of the hotel and car and their own food, etc.).

If you really don't want them to come along, tell them that you want to take an alone trip. There is nothing you can do to prevent them from taking a simultaneous trip however.

Just tell them you're not going... changed your mind...can't go...whatever. Then go as planned. Simple! Afterwords, if confronted, just play stupid... It pays off to be known as a bit of a nut. Then people don't bug you too much.Good luck. Have fun!

Are they planning on paying their own way ????????

If so, have them stay at another hotel and enjoy the time they are there.

if they plan on hanging with you, tell them that this is a ' getaway ' for you and / or your special one.

But seriously, you can kindly tell them " Sorry, but this vacation was primarily meant for me and _____. You can come another time if we decide to all go with friends".
