God could be an alien, and "His image" can be a humanoid type organic life-form. He could have created us in a lab and left us behind on our own destiny. You can define image in several ways...
However, cience proves origin of man better than religion, therefore I don't belive in this teory.
Even if it was true, the important thing isn't if you're ugly or not, beeing alive is the most wounderfull thing we can have, and remember...it ends, so make the most out of it and have fun while you can. In the end, you'll not be able to take nothing more than the memories of your life, so you'll want to have good ones when that time arrives. Peace.

Man created God in HIS own image due to a desperate need to feel connected to the one he feels is his creator. If God exists and i do stress the word IF, then he can not possibly have a form that we would be able to understand as a physical being.

Or as beautiful?

It has been said that Man is the only animal which can blush, and the only one that needs to. In other words there are qualities in Man (blushing is only a minor example - knowledge of good and evil is a bigger one) not shared by any other creature on this planet. In that sense Man can be considered as an image of God, an image not seen elsewhere.

But don't confuse the image with the original!

YES GOD IS STRICKLY MALE... He created Adam unto his own image... MALE... and he expected ADAM to copulate with some of the animals that were introduced to him for naming... He must have tried a few of them. Probably he got bored too soon... so EVE was created as an afterthought after God admitted that it was no good for man to be alone! In that note "He created male and female", but that came after the glitch correction! Hey, let’s be honest to the truth in the Bible. I know that prudish Christians prefer to ignore our Biblical roots…

I don't think god made that mistake twice, if I shine my toof real good, I'm pertier than most.

I think this is how it worked. If you take real fancy expensive paper and type a letter on it, then take it to a photocopy place, they put that same message on really cheap paper.

God did make us in His image and likeness. Not to look like Him but to have choices like Him. To make decisions like Him. To have feelings like Him. God is a Spirit and he that worship Him must worship Him in spirtt and in truth.
