Stretch.. and trust me... if you are trying out.... and then comes the actual playing... it sucks.. instead of showering right after the game... come home....with fast food... haaha... or pizza... and take a hot shower, then when you come out.. put some basketball shorts on with socks and a long sleeve tee and sit on you couch with a HUGE soda :) and enjoy your pizza while watching sports center... and I mean enjoyyyyyyyy

muscle strains=) cold compress will sooth the pain and take pain reliever such as ibuprofen or mefinamic acid. get your legs some rest. and do stretching before doing vigorous drills or workout. apply heat cream or oil also. if you still want to run tomorrow, you should put some elastic bandage to do support in your muscles and prevent from having too much pain on it.

WATER!!! Lots and lots of water, now before and after. No sugar, don't drink any sport or energy drinks, or eat any fruit right before, stick to proteins. Chicken, eggs, etc.
Try looking for Tiger Balm in the stores, it will relax your muscles and make them less tense. And it tingles!
Good luck! Hope this helps!

Eat a banana right after practice. The potassium is what your recovering muscles need. Up your antioxidants also to keep your energy high.

see my friend ...
you can't ignore pain if you want to play basketball...
you have to suffer as BB is a game in which you need to strech all your muscles....
but you can just lie anywhere just for 1 min anywhere you feel like...
here you will feel that you are the most relaxed person in the whole world
