There was Joanna Lumley as the 13th Doctor in the "Curse of the Fatal Death" charity benefit (for Comic Relief UK) spoof starring Rowan Atkinson (long out-of-print on VHS) and Barbara Bennedetti in the mid-Eighties fan-produced episodes (Peter K's link has the details on those).

There were female Time Lords (Romana and Sylvester McCoy-era nemisis the Rani)...outside the two versions mentioned above, there is/was no female Doctor in legit BBC continuity.

There was a specially made film called
Wrath of Eukor
with Barbara Benedetti but it was not a BBC TV production, just a short for a sci-fi festival. DVD of that and other episodes for the remarkable price of $2. Shipping might add quite a bit though!

Female Time Lords, yes.

Real Female "The Doctor 'Who' ", no.

Parodies and jokes, some times. But Gender swapping is not really intended for when you gain a new body.
