Nah.. Dun be too hard on urself coz Id also be pissed if i were u. But still, cut her some slack. Afterall, shes ur mum and she didnt do it on purpose! Shes probably feeling very guilty now and is trying to makeup to u by offering to get u a new one.
Also.. its 'just a diamond bracelet'. It could be something of huge significant to u or that its given to u by someone very special but still, its something that i sure u can do without. Comeon, u've lived 18yrs without it.. Try to get over it okie. Enjoy the shopping trip with ur mum!

What would you tell your best friend if she'd have done it? You might be made for a few minutes but chances are you wouldn't stay mad at her. It was an accident. Just like your Mom has done.
She's human, she screws up and it sounds like she's offering to do what she can to fix it. Some mother's would have thrown back that because it wasn't either on your wrist or in a jewelry box that it was your own fault but your Mom is cool...she's dealin' with it. Cut her some slack.

Stop being a *****. It wasn't like she was TRYING to throw it away. Be upset, not angry towards her. It was an accident. Besides, it was just a bunch of clear rocks. Don't make her buy you a new one. Material items aren't worth damaging your relationship with your mother.

You should go through life as if you will never see those close to you ever again.
Put another way, what if your mom got in a car crash and died on her way to replace your bracelet? The last time you saw her you would have been angry with her. This is what you would have to carry.
Life's too short to waste it on anger, you should go out and buy HER a bracelet. :-)

go ahead, be angry and make your mum feel a whole lot worse than she already does. she has already said it was an accident and has offered to replace it, even though it cant replace the original, what more do you want of her?

of course you are going to be angry but if it was truly a mistake you should forgive your mother and move on the necklace is obviously gone so getting mad is not going to bring it back it will just drive you and your mum further apart after all you only got one mum

Upset yes, angry no. She did not do it on purpose and has offered to replace it. It will not be the same but it will be replaced. She feels bad enough. Do you have to make her feel worse?

Shift Happens
Ask yourself if the tables were turned and you made the mistake how long and how hard would you want her to harp on it.
Life throws us curves. It is how we react that makes us what we are and how others respect of don't respect us.
The only thing that you have in your control to change is yourself. Unless you just want to waste your time and give yourself ulcers.

Yes, you are being bitchy, Accidents happen. She most likely feels bad enough without you being mean to her. Grow up. Worse things happen at sea.
