I will assume that we are talking about tournament or sport karate fighting since you refer to having to fight multiple times, which is over a short period usually.

First, take each match and opponent one at a time. You do not have to fight all the other fighters in your division all at once-only half of them, one at a time.

Second, practice getting your self psyched when fighting at your school. As you face each new opponent there learn to get yourself up mentally just before fighting them. This will help prepare you to better do this in a tournament.

Third, as someone has already mentioned train! A prepared, well practiced and well trained fighter has less trouble with the above because they go into such a situation knowing that they have done everything they can to prepare for it. This way they are more capable of giving their best effort and they know that going in.

Fourth, look at your fighting objectively and list your strenghts and weaknesses. Start working on those things that you are weak in and get help on them from your instructor or other good fighters if you have access to them. Some of that will take time but over the long run the quality of your fighting should improve.

Fifth, watch other good fighters that seem to win easily or win all the time. Look at what they are doing, how they are doing it and the skills they employ. You will find some of those things may or will work for you-some won't. Discard the ones that don't and keep the ones that do. This also will take some time but after several months you should see a big difference in your fighting.

Sixth, I sometimes jump around a little doing some vigorus shadow boxing or go off to the side and jog back and forth trying to get my heart rate up some and my body warmed up. Anxiety makes you feel like what you are describing above and so getting that heart pumping a little faster will help alleviate some of this.

Seventh, do a good, loud kia when the ref says, "Ready!" This will get your adrenalin flowing and you will be less nervous and better able to move, execute and fight. Try this in the studio a few times and you will see what I mean.

Eighth, after your last match or the one you lose sit down and look at what you did or did not do-especially the ones you do poorly in or lose. Learn from each and through your training improve on those aspects if needed and try not to make the same mistakes twice.

Fighting is 80% mental and 20% physical for a good, experienced fighter and they can turn it on and off like you would turn on or off a faucet. For an inexperienced fighter it is just the opposite. They often times don't know some of the things like those above, don't train very well or know what to train on. They also don't have the benefit of experience and so they beat themselves or allow themselves to be beat before they step out there to fight a lot of times. If you do some of the things above, along with working on your mental approach to this you will see improvement. A weght training program will help immensly in improving the strength of your fighting and techniques. If you do not have access to them, then yes exercises like push-ups, crunches, squat-thrusts, lunges, foot work drills, and speed and reaction drills will all also help in improving the level of your fighting.

like the guy at the top sed its not about learning martial arts to beat crap out of people. in another case if peopel are trying to beat u up then yes ill give u advise LOL. strenght isnt a matter you could be the smallest person in the fight bt yet u have as much chance of winning as the other person, so forget strenght. when i train at class the sensei goes around and test things like stances and well hes quite stocky and with a good stance he cant push over even 7 year olds because they have a strong and steady stance. if you get scared in a fight like i have sed to another peson ask your sensei if there are any tournements you can enter. this will boost your confidence and your ability, agility and other things its also a great way for people to share there info with u and great for new friends :)

Pick out a friend and spar him. Best way to get better is to spar. You problem isn't strength of your body but strength of your mind. You need to stay calm and fluent. Practice sparring with your friends and don't hurt them... don't let them hurt you.

Practice in counter strike techniques. let them strike first because usually there is an opening. let them attack, block, then strike in. What wins a fight is speed>strength. However, you must be balanced so find the balance.

Thats if your a pressure point fighter, if your say... a boxer, then wear weights bands on your legs and wrists the concentrate on flexing your muscles to a tense strength and release all your energy into a punching bag. Do that several times and your punches should be stronger... For you legs you should try walking everywhere and use a weight device to push on weights.

*shrug* First thing to do... Fight your friends in sparring matches... Even with all that strength your pretty useless if you cannot throw those powerful punches and quick leg movements. Get used to sparring your friends and you should be fine. Good luck next fight,

And if your fighting out of anger... then you already lost to your emotions and you do deserve to lose... Sorry bud.
