Ok, give me your best general chicken recipe. I want one that's simple yet good. I can't seem to find one that looks good.

not as simple as the first answer, but still fairly simple and QUITE good!

its a sort of pesto chicken

pound boneless skinless chx breasts to about 1/2 inch thick, then dredge them in flour, then dip in a beaten egg, then finally in the following bread crumb mixture:

bread crumb mixture:

pulse all of the following in a food processor till you achieve a crumb texture

store bought bread crumbs (or make your own, but store bought are the crispiest i think)--1 cup, more if a lot of chicken
zest of one lemon
pine nuts--1/2 cup or so
1/4 cup (or more to taste) grated parmesan
red pepper flakes to taste
salt (careful though cus the parmesan is salty too)

i like to pan sear the chicken in a bit of olive oil til brown on each side, then i finish in a 350 oven for 10-15 minutes, or till the chicken juices are clear

top the chicken with a "pesto" sauce

just pulse 2 cups of fresh basil, handful of parsley, and juice of one lemon in the same food processor (you really don't even have to rinse it from the bread mix) until the herbs are getting chopped up. then start drizzling in about 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil until it gets to a sauce like consistency

(if you've made pesto before then this will sound familiar...you're just breaking the ingredients of pesto up and putting some on the chicken and leaving the rest in the sauce...its sooo good!)

i promise, it REALLY is simple, and soo soo good! its my family's favorite chicken recipe

Just broil it or grill it and then add some bbq sauce for the last few minutes. (Otherwise the sugars in the sauce will burn.)

Or throw a can of soup (your choice) on it and bake uncovered in oven.
