Hey I was wondering what a good acoustic guitar would be as a gift for my girlfriend, she has played for about a year but not often and wants to play more. My friends say Takamine Epiphone. The people at guitar center showed me this one Takamine I believe the model number is GS330S, but I am open to comparisons. Thanks guys!!!

Between the two, I'd say Epiphone. You may want to look at a Guild, Gretsch or Gibson in your price range. I know you probably dont want to spend a ton of money, but you dont want to get a guitar that she will outgrow quickly as she gets better.

Takamine is a good make, so is Epiphone. Does she know you are going to do this? May I suggest that you check out your local music shop, see what is in your price range, then take her along and get her to play them and decide for herself. That way she will get the one she likes best. Every guitarist will have their own ideas on what they prefer. Me, I use Ovation for peforming or Burns for rock'n'roll. It's a great idea, and I'm sure she will be well pleased. Hope this helps.
