When ‘ fornication ‘ is mentioned in the Bible it is either homosexuality , adultery , bestiality or incest , Not heterosexual pre-marital sex .
I can’t find anywhere in the Bible where is says ‘ No Sex Before Marriage ‘ is a fornication - can anyone give me the verse ?
There are a lot of Fuddies here just reading into the scriptures anything that suits their belief .
In fact paedophilia is not even mentioned as a fornication ! LOL

For those who are using the "do not commit adultery" thing, it's only adultery if:
1. You are married and having sex with another married person.
2. You are married and having sex with an unmarried person.
3. You are not married, and having an affair with a married person.
It is NOT adultery if you are NOT married and are having sex with another unmarried person. There has to be a marriage present there for at least one of the two people involved, for it to be adultery.

The whole "sex before marriage" thing is a result of taking Biblical attitudes into our own completely different society.
In Biblical times, if you slept with someone, you were automatically married to them - it was as simple as that. The marriage ceremony itself developed as a way of _celebrating_ that union - but even if you didn't have the ceremony, you were still married.
So it didn't make sense to think of "sex before marriage" - you had sex, you were married. Adultery was something quite different - sex with someone you *couldn't* marry, for whatever reason - primarily because they were already married to someone else, but also because of more obscure reasons like you were a priest and they were a widow.
We have for some reason taken this concept and bent it out of all recognition to get our modern prohibition of no sex before marriage.
