I don't believe there is a true meaning. But I believe the meaning of life, is to make the best of it. That sounds pretty vague but I interpret in a different way. Like if there's a crisis going on, your life is helping to solve that problem. Your life aids to the rest of society after your death. Our lives ALL together make up our population and it unfortunately leads to problems. With new lives arising, it should be the cure to help with a lot of society's problems. However, only some are willing to make changes. I'm not saying everyone should go out and riot and protest and go green or whatever. Even if your life is to have a goal to be happy, that is still good enough.
Basically!..... to live life positively. Hah, I turned it into a crazy thing, sorry. But that's my interpretation on the meaning of life. Many take their lives for granted :\

There used to be a computer game, years and years ago, called Adventure. It was a text game. You'd type something in, the computer would type back and four hours later it was time to go to bed. When you began the game, it said 'The object of the game is to find the object of the game'.
Well life is like that. The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life. The meaning of your life is up to you! If your life has no meaning, it's because you don't have one.
We are the only creatures in the universe who have Free Will (actually I don't know for sure that that's true. I've heard people say it and I can't disprove it 'cos don't know any other creatures who have free will.) Free Will is a great gift. But it means that it's UP TO YOU.

The answer is only 42 if you're at sixes and sevens. The meaning of life is a journey where you choose the destination. Very few decide to go uphill.

There is no meaning of life as we have no purpose. We are born and we die. Whatever happens in between is down to us. Some waste their lives and some do some thing meaningful with their lives but their is no reason for us being here apart from evolution.

"What is the [definition] of life?"
Human (and other) life is originally meant to be happy & healthy, & bring glory to its Creator. Its taking some time to get to that point again, but the plan IS in the works to do so.
Or, was your question really:
"What is the [purpose] of life?"
Essentially the answer is the same, but I think this Q merits a much more detailed answer, such as that given in the latter of the 2 following articles listed:

If we go back to the ancient greek philosophers, they all knew
that you have to clarify whether you mean BIOS or ZOE when
you mention LIFE.
Bios= simply the biological life, which never meant "self-existent"
but something that is invigorated, animated, enlivened, the one that is kept alive.
The moment the sustaining process stops (exit) the socalled
bios ceases to exist (nekros=physical death).
ZOE= means SPIRITUAL LIFE (either you are in that state or
you are out of it),self existent and lasts forever, developing and
getting richer and richer, improving eternally. The greek said:
if you had been begotten by the SPIRIT,you became spiritually alive, you became spirit. From this moment you are
not only body and soul kept alive for a period , but you became reviving, vivifying, evocating spirit. You possess LIFE
in yourself."The first Adam became a soul kept alive, but
the final Adam became a life-giving spirit.=zoopoion"1Cor15.
Now it's upto you how you mean the "meaning of life".

The true meaning of life is to discover the Creator of the universe... speak to this Creator and receive a mission from this Creator.
Seek and you shall find.
