I don't know much about Hoodoo other than it's considered to be dark magick and it's very real & powerful. Wiccans practice white magick which is weaker. So if the Wiccan is truly a good person and would never harm anything that's living, are they strong enough to break the curse of someone evil? (I believe so, what do you think?)

All you Jesus people, stop pushing your Christian stuff on other people! You don't see other religions doing this. This isn't a question for you so please, and I say this sincerely, please go preach at church or on some revival online.

And...have you ever had a curse put on you? Stop being so righteous if you don't know the answer!

Is it so hard for people to answer the question?

Nightwin... I want to say that I agree with you. What I meant was not that Hoodoo is neccessarily evil but maybe the person I'm talking about performing it is? Makes sense but I have to disagree with not believing in white or dark magick. There IS a difference. I know a lot of Wiccans (I grew up around the practice) and I've never known one to do a spell to deliberately harm or cause danger to anyone else. An unblocking or releasing spell would be called for and there would be no need for ill wishing b/c it will come back to the sender. They did this to themselves.

Even if a shaman is cursed, they have trouble reversing it on themselves. It is better to get someone else to do that. Anyone can be healed, regardless of what they call themselves. They just need to find a shaman with sufficient power and experience relative to the one who did the curse.

Your question makes a lot of presumptions. First, there is no such thing as white magic. Magic is magic. Magic is in the hands of a Wiccan is not inherently weaker or stronger than magic in the hands of a Hoodoo practitioner. Also, there is nothing that keeps Wiccans from harming living things. (There are plenty of Wiccans in the military) So, yes, a Wiccan could break a Hoodoo curse, and a Hoodoo practitioner could break a curse done by a Wiccan (although Wiccans generally consider them unethical)

Finally, there is nothing inherently evil about Hoodoo. Hoodoo practitioners frequently chant passages from the Bible in their castings, for example. Doesn't sound very evil to me.

Wiccans follow the wiccan reed which is basically dont do anything that will cause harm to another or try to bend anothers will. but the basic theme through every religion is just belief. Christians believe in God and Jesus and all that is associated with them. If you don't believe it can't hurt you.

Well.....a person can only be cursed if they believe they are....so if a Wiccan (or a fluffbunny) doesnt believe in so called dark magick, then how can they be cursed?

No such thing as white or black magic. All the same - use demonic powers. One set of demons can only replace the activities of another. Need to try the Houngans and Mambos. They are usually the middle men/women in disputes like this. But usually charge for their services.
Yes - I've had a curse put on me - and Christ removed it - the only person who can.

hoodoo/voodoo is strong magic, but it can be reversed or undone by another practitioner of voodoo, for a price.

There are no such thing as curses. It's all in the mind. The "spear" of thought.

EDIT:
I'm not Christian, I am however just being rational about my answer.

Wiccans are not weak, nor their 'magic' weaker. If you knew a Wiccan you would not say such a thing :)

I beg your pardon, are you under the impression this thread is about role-playing games?
