My son was diagnose with a UTI earlier this month. We stayed in the hospital for 2 days. He was given antibiotics. Well, he is scheduled for an x-ray tomorrow. To see if he has a bladder reflux. His ultrasound came out normal. However, this is the thing I am asking. His urine is smelling more awful (sign of infection), really sensitive to wipes or anything touching him around his "thingy". Now, do you think his UTI got much worse and should I notify his doctor when we go to get his x-ray...or should I just leave it alone? I don't know what to do.

I knew how you feel,it's your son's health.
I guess you must tell the doctor who diagnosed him about it.
Actualy, UTI sometimes been a common illness of anyone.

Just a suggestion:

Aside from the check up his having with his doctor,
Why don't you try to let him, more fluid intake like water, juces.. and the best thing I could advice you,if you can find a coconut juice where you are, the better.Let him drink it can be used as his water almost at least for a week and tell him to urinate as he feels and never control urinating. I have done it and it works. I hope it may works too to your son.

Good luck.

The chlyamdia is unlikely. The in all probability reason is that commonly the plumbing would not artwork particularly acceptable, so issues do no longer drain suitable. this might deliver approximately a back-up interior the equipment and for this reason infections. The urologist is probable going to do some x-ray variety imaging to ascertain how effectual the drainage is (noted as a VCUG). If there's a difficulty, surgical operation generally works ok. that's unquestionably a extremely uncomplicated problem, so are not getting too worked up only yet.

if he still takes antibiotics they might give this awful smell in urine. also his penis may be sensitive because antibiotics and infection did it. i would of course notify doctor about smell. but smell alone doesn't mean anything. they should take his urine sample. also if his penis is sensitive after treatment u shoud wash it often without soap and apply special cream. u didn't write for how many days your son was taking antibiotics. that makes it harder to guess what can be wrong
