I read that the Gospel of Christ must be published throughout the entire world and then the end will come.

Now that we are in the age of the Internet, that time could be... any time now! The gospel is being so widely proclaimed, in so many different ways, in so many different languages and, now, electronically, that it's thrilling. On top of that, there is the Spirit of God, awesomely reaching individuals who could not otherwise be reached. But Jesus warned that he would return at a time people least expected him to come. He will come as a thief in the night. Many will be caught without oil in their lamps and shut out of the wedding feast. Nobody will be able to anticipate Christ's return. So we must be prepared every day by showing the faith and love he will be looking for, and unashamedly telling sinners they can be forgiven because of what Christ has done.

The problems with this interpretation are at least 2:

1. The gospel of Jesus Christ was preached from Briton to Japan by 70 A.D. From Northern Europe to Ethiopia.

2. It does not take into account the generational growth of the Human race. It is all measure out. The gospel must be preached over and over again in different and the same geographical areas so that everyone has a chance to hear.

Europe was reached for Christ with wave after wave of gospel preachers for 2000 years so far. Catholic & Pagan persecution could not stop them. It is not going to stop us either.

The end of time is set now. You will not hasten or delay it. The Gospel of Christ does not have to be published throughout the entire world before the end will come. Christians are to spread the gospel to everyone, but that does not make any difference as far as the end is concerned.

Matthew 24:14- "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

Armageddon will arrive in God's time frame, not ours. It will not delay or be late, but occur when God is satisfied that the nations of the world have been given ample opportunity to hear his Word and respond.

So there isn't any definite number I can give you- sorry!

We are getting closer and closer with each passing day though! :D

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

IN 'ALL' THE INHABITED EARTH...

Only J.W's are doing this, in obedience to the above and also ;
(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

I believe you have read Acts 1:8 where it says:
"And He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

I believe the end is coming soon. As Jesus said, the gospel of grace of Christ has spread to all Judea and Samaria. It then spread to the Roman Empire. Around 17th century, the gospel spread westwards to America. It continued to spread to Asia, Oceania, Africa and the outermost islands of the earth.

In Africa today, millions of Africans have the opportunity to attend gospel meetings and have made the decision to receive Jesus into their hearts. Similarly, many more people in China and India, the two most populous countries in the world, now have the opportunity to hear the gospel and believe. The gospel has gone one full circle around the earth, and is coming back to Jerusalem, Israel, where it began. More and more Jews are turning to Christ too - they are the Messianic Jews.

That means the end times is here, and Jesus is coming back for the church soon.

"And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." (Luke 21:24)

Israel came back as a nation in 1948. In 1967, they recaptured Jerusalem.

"Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." (Luke 21:32-33)

If we take one generation as, say, 80 years, then Jesus will return before the year 2050. Exactly when - we do not know. We are exhorted to look up and lift up our heads, because our redemption draws near. (Luke 21:28)

Well taken a cue from Jesus I would say the preching of the Gospel has nothing to do with the end of the world as He himself said no one knows except the Father. Therefore the end will come when it comes - and nothing we do will affect that coming sooner or later.
