Why can't people either be Christian or not? Why try to play both sides of the fence?

Draw a line in the sand and make your stand. Either stand upon the whole word of God, or throw it all out, but this mixture of personal ideas and Bible truth is so horrible.

Jimmesen.. - I have no problem with Wiccans, Pagans, Atheists or Agnostics. At least they say they do not believe, so I have no expectations upon them. I do not even have a real problem with JW's or Mormons. They are throgoughly unchristian.

But how can we say that we love the Lord, but sit by and watch others call themselves Christians and say nothing? If these are our brothers and sisters, then they should start acting like it.

Plus, correct me if I am wrong, we are told to rebuke one another. I am sure it is in the Bible somewhere, maybe you could find the reference?

Too many are like the Laodicean church. Lukewarm. They don't want to offend anyone, and even in this forum, some would rather be accepted by others than speak the Truth.

"So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth" Rev 3:16

"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10

"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters." Luke 11:23

Who would you rather offend? Man or God

The answer is simple many Christians and I include myself get filled up by the words ideals and views that we have no room in our spiritual bellies if you will to the hungering and thirsting of Gods righteousness, if you fill up on the junk food on the world you wont have any room for the bread of life and the milk and meat of Gods word. That which you set your affections on is what you will live for and where you treasure is your heart is also see Matthew 6:21 Matthew 5:6

The Bible also says you cannot serve two masters and I learned this the hard way because my foundation at first was not on Jesus Christ but on other things and I have matured and grown because of the hurts I incurred Peace be with you e4g

Homosexuality is a sin only like fornication, adultery, killing or any sin that's against God. what's there to no longer comprehend people? end with all this nonsense!! "the bible suggested this and that." The bible is a instruction manual for human life and the non secular. one ingredient that persons don’t say lots is what happens to you when you die. that's a extreme situation!! as a follower of God this international isn't your very final holiday spot. Sin will in no way haven't any place in God’s promises. confident no person would desire to be judging or condemning that's God's call. yet as followers of Jesus we do have the accountability to stand up for the actuality. Sin is grimy and fatal and there are outcomes for that.

That's the point their will always be people that will supposedly "belong" to a group or religion but don't do what their own teachings say.

I'm a Christian and I see some of the things you say people do are true.. these people obviously aren't very well grounded in their faith. or like you said trying to play both sides of the fence.

Or these people find one or two things that they disagree with and change it... which I totally see as being wrong like changing commandments, adding, taking away books etc.

and I don't know where you were going with the "homosexuality" thing but people are not born gay.

Some people have heard it for so long they don't give it any thought.

But you are 100% right.

"Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by?" Lamentations 1:12

Either the Bible is 100% true or 100% lie.

Christianity didn't come from Jesus, James O? IF it didn't come from Jesus, then there is no such thing.

-Homosexuality IS a lifestyle if you believe that we are born and shaped in inquity.
-The bible states that women shouldn't lead the church, but since most religions are large organizations run by men, I dont think they do.
-It's true that God created everything but organisms do evolve - just look at bacteria.
-If one worships idols then one isn't a Christian.
-Adding to the Word is wrong - but clarifying or using bible teaching to live a better life is fine.

If your a Christian then none of these things should even be an issue since your focus should be on God. It's true that every Christian does bring their unique perspective to religion but ones religion is a personal relationship and as such God will guide you to the truth.

The bible remains a very important part of all God's divine revelation, but certainly not all of it.

Explain how anyone could expect the Catholic church to "follow" the bible, when the church predates the bible by some 400 years.

The authentic universal (Catholic) church was empowed by Christ to lead all to salvation in him ... not the bible ... while the bible itself is a product of the sacred tradition of the Catholic church.

Do you see the bible mentioned anywhere in this passage?

"Mat 28:16 And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
Mat 28:17 And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world."

It is you who have been deceived. And when did God give you the power to decide who might or might not be a Christian?

Why do many atheist know little about the science that is supposedly behind their beliefs? People choose to be as knowledgeable and literal as they feel is necessary. Christians don't need to know every single verse in the Bible and atheists don't need to know every single scientific theorem or lesson in a text book.

Of Course, there are those who are sure that you are not a Chirstian too. C'est la vie.

We Catholic Christians and most Protestant Christians are sure that many of your interpretations of the Bible and pontifications are way off.

Anyone who professes the Nicene creed is a creedal Christian. Do you and are you?

You got your Christianity from Catholics

Because God knows that to take out the chaff now would also uproot much of the wheat. Many of them are being used by God for important things. In the end though, Jesus will turn them away.
