1- Shahada does not have time or place, it is reciting the Islamic creed.

2- Prayer 5 times a day alone or in the mosque.

3- Fasting during the month of Ramadan which does not come in the same time every year because they follow a lunar calendar.

4- Alms giving is once a year and it is %2.5 of annual income.

5- Pilgrimage to Mecca once in lifetime during the pilgrimage season which happen in the month of Dhulhagga each year.

P.S.: Country, you need to open your own question and not insert it in someone else question. Thanks.

The whole life. Every day.

To stand witness to faith is a full time, round the clock job. Then you have to pray five times a day, which requires about
thee hours of you day. You spend time in finding people who
really desrve alms. On the top of that you have to fast one full month during which your life changes topsy turvy.

And once in your life time you have to preform Hajj, which is
a journey to Makkah and about 10 days stay.

In Islam, you are never short of business, never are bored
or are alone. Try ! you will like it.

My answers

for Missa country

#1. Every Muslim in entire world is 100% sure that story told by Mohammad was true word to word because he lived with peopleof Mecca for 40 years. He was known to be the most trust worthy man with high moral character. He never lied before in his life. Why would he lie about his experience with Angel Gabriel.

2. God didn't need to send an Angel to confirm Mohammad's vesion of story. God Himself sent messages through same Angel Gabriel for people that Mohammad is the Messenger of God and those messages are part of Quran. It would be useless for me to quote Ayahs fromQuran here because you are unbeliever any way and have attitude of an enemies so what would be the point trying to convince you.

3. 1.3 Muslims in entire world know it is true story. Why would I care iff some stupid prejudice against Arabs calls is cok and bull story, when World Famous European Historians like Toynbee in his "History of Muslims" has have praised Mohammad in such a words that if you read you will be ashamed of your words in your questions. Go and check Histoy of Muslims (book) by Toynbee in your regional library if you have any sense of appreciation.

Stupid religious dogma is Trinity invented by Paul who was opponent of Jesus during his life and then went to Europe and fooled the stupid pagans of Italy. Today lots of your Catholics say that they turned away from Catholicism after finishing Catholic school and become Atheists. Highest number of Muslims converted in USA are Ex-Catholics for your information. It is not the Islam's days that are numberd. Days of Catholicism are numbered after Catholic Priests have given the true picture of their belifs and their low moral character by molesting the children for last 40 years as has been reported by your own press for last ten years that I have been watching of American television. Today Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and rest of the world. American Church buildings are often closed and on sale for the lack of worshippers willing to pay 10% of their income for the cok and bull stupid failing dogma of trinity. Isn't this enough proof of failure of Stupid Trinity Dogma?

Tell me what do you think after reading my answer?

Salaamu Alakium (Peace and blessings be upon you)

I converted a few years ago. First I will answer your question and then I will address the previous post by "country", inshAllah (GOD-willing).

1) Faith (Shahada)

This is your decleration of faith by telling GOD the Shahada. As a convert this is done on day 1 and you live by it obviously.

In Arabic: La ilaha illa Llah, Muhammadun rasulu'Llah
In English: There is no god worthy of worship except GOD and Muhammad is His final messenger.

In Arabic, the first part is la ilaha illa Llah - 'there is no god except God'; ilaha (god) can refer to anything which we may be tempted to put in place of God - wealth, power, and the like. Then comes illa Llah: 'except God', the source of all Creation. The second part of the Shahada is Muhammadun rasulu'Llah: 'Muhammad is the final messenger of God.' A message of guidance has come through a man like ourselves.

2) Prayer (Salat)

Salat is the name for the obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam, and no priests, so the prayers are led by a learned person who knows the Quran, chosen by the congregation. These five prayers contain verses from the Quran, and are said in Arabic, the language of the Revelation, but personal supplication can be offered in one's own language.

Praying 5 times is a small price to give considering all GOD gave us. It helps us to stay focused and to sterr away from temptations of the devil. They only take 10-15 minutes each. The more we do for GOD, the more he does for us.

3) The 'Zakat'

One of the most important principles of Islam is that all things belong to God, and that wealth is therefore held by human beings in trust. The word zakat means both 'purification' and 'growth'. Our possessions are purified by setting aside a proportion for those in need, and, like the pruning of plants, this cutting back balances and encourages new growth.

Each Muslim calculates his or her own zakat individually. For most purposes this involves the payment each year of two and a half percent of one's capital.

Charity is needed since their are so many unfortunate poeple out there like the children in Africa.

A pious person may also give as much as he or she pleases as sadaqa, and does so preferably in secret. Although this word can be translated as 'voluntary charity' it has a wider meaning. The Prophet said 'even meeting your brother with a cheerful face is charity.'

The Prophet said: 'Charity is a necessity for every Muslim. ' He was asked: 'What if a person has nothing?' The Prophet replied: 'He should work with his own hands for his benefit and then give something out of such earnings in charity.' The Companions asked: 'What if he is not able to work?' The Prophet said: 'He should help poor and needy persons.' The Companions further asked 'What if he cannot do even that?' The Prophet said 'He should urge others to do good.' The Companions said 'What if he lacks that also?' The Prophet said 'He should check himself from doing evil. That is also charity.'

4) The Fast

Every year in the month of Ramadan, all Muslims fast from first light until sundown, abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations. Those who are sick, elderly, or on a journey, and women who are pregnant or nursing are permitted to break the fast and make up an equal number of days later in the year. If they are physically unable to do this, they must feed a needy person for every day missed. Children begin to fast (and to observe the prayer) from puberty, although many start earlier.

Although the fast is most beneficial to the health, it is regarded principally as a method of self purification. By cutting oneself off from worldly comforts, even for a short time, a fasting person gains true sympathy with those who go hungry as well as growth in one's spiritual life.

5) Pilgrimage (Hajj)

The annual pilgrimage to Makkah - the Hajj - is an obligation only for those who are physically and financially able to perform it. Nevertheless, about two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the globe providing a unique opportunity for those of different nations to meet one another. Although Makkah is always filled with visitors, the annual Hajj begins in the twelfth month of the Islamic year (which is lunar, not solar, so that Hajj and Ramadan fall sometimes in summer, sometimes in winter). Pilgrims wear special clothes: simple garments which strip away distinctions of class and culture, so that all stand equal before God.

Now, in response to the previous post by "country"

"The islamic prophet Mohommed was visited by an angel named jabreel (Gabrial ) when he was at a cave named Hira and this angel they say revealed Allah's devine messages to him. Now thats how the legand goes right."

Just as the SAME Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to tell her she was to have a child. Gabriel appeared to almost all the Prophets so whats the difference? Nothing.

"Anyway I have 3 very important questions for muslims"

"1, This was only mohommed's version of the story. Other than mohommed himself no one else saw this angel nor did they hear what this angel actually said to mohommed. How can anyone be 100% certain that mohommed was not making up this story?"

He was illiterate and the Christian King of Medina was amazed to hear Prophet Muhammed's stories was the same as he knew of Prophet Jesus' stories and that is why he helped the Muslims escape the Pagans in Mecca to his city of Medina for protection.

"2, As muslims say if allah is all powerful then why couldent he send this same angel to a few more people and confirm mohommed's version of the story to be true?"

GOD tests us on beleif and all the Prophets were the only ones to see the Angles and talk to GOD like Prophet Moses on the mountain.

"3, In this 21st century I wonder how many thinking muslims are willing to accept some **** and bull story about an angel speaking to an arab man inside a cave?"

We accept the word of GOD and accept all Prophets of GOD. The story of Muhammed is no different than Prophets Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, Lot, Abraham, etc. peace be upon them all.

"Well friends, people who are willing to exchange knowledge, commonsense and logic in favor of blind faith mixed with very stupid religious dogma always run out of answers. And thats why islam's days are numbered.

well muslims what do you think?"

Life4 is already numbered and as the Quran says "Unto you be your religion and unto me be mine." GOD will reveal all in due time, but it is our test to take all knowledge and make our own decisions in order to be judged on judgement day. The more you accept GOD the more he removes the blinders from your eyes and heart and helps you to see the light to accept it. Just ask him, "GOD, if this is true I want to know so help me to bleive and show me the way."

I did that, and now here I am, alhamdulliah (Thanks to GOD).
