There are many spiritual lessons that stick in my mind. First of all I can't change anyone but myself, and, each person is at a different crossroads in their lives. We each need to learn our own spiritual lessons that apply to us, not those that apply to someone else's walk.
One thought that comes back to me over and over is that I should not doubt in times of darkness those truths that I've learned in the light. Don't lose my hope when all seems dark. Almost always I've found a glimmer of hope and light just when I have needed it most. Sometimes we are on the mountain-top so to speak, and other times you have to walk through some painful valleys of loss and hurt. Don't give up...

That men can moralize outside the box without god and do an excellent job but it takes the patience of more than a saint to see we are progressing when looking to the future that is not yet here. We have already begun to leave the past behind.

That prayer is not about asking to be given Help, but ask to be given the tools of Wisdom to help oneself. Millions in war torn countries and places of natural disasters look up towards God or some Divine Being praying for a miracle to help them, but 9 out of 10 such prayers I am sure are heard but goes unanswered. I believe at least once in our lives such a condition happens to us...
God/Divine doesn't STOP anyone from making a wrong choice or committing evil due to free will
therefore, pain and suffering that results from Human causes need to be faced by human solutions... that includes Wars and its victims, wonky weather patterns that result in horrendous calamities due to effects of Global warming etc etc. We humans made that choice due to ignorance and arrogance therefore we must face its consequences

It took some discover ways to locate as a Christian we've capability over the devil, and might stay devoid of concern of him. I thank God he stored me and has shown me His superb capability in my existence. Forgiveness of others who've come against you is between the main perplexing issues to do after starting to be a Christian, it takes an incredible variety of prayer to get that one, and it nonetheless could be a stumbling block at circumstances.

The most difficult spiritual lesson for me was that God never told me to try, but He tells me to trust Him to do what I am incapable of doing. I spent so many years trying to be good and trying to do right and trying to please God because I did not understand that I am to trust the Holy Spirit within me to do those things. I did not understand that the flesh can never fix the flesh and God does not accept anything that is of the flesh.

Probably that no matter how confident I am in my own abilities I will always fall short. I have failed so many times when I put too much trust in myself, but I found out that if I trust God and follow the Holy Ghost I do much better.

I suppose it's not really a spiritual lesson, but my main spiritual struggle is resisting temptation and confessing my sins.

Probably that everything around us is changing. Don't get stuck onto one thing because it will eventually change. That or, god exists in everything. So we must learn to love everything. Eeek! That's hard to do!
