something hit me when I was reading your question- if you asked God for a sign, and He gave you one, why would you need to ask again. Gideon did that in the OT- You must have faith that God will answer, either yes, no or wait- if He answered yes, first believe it to be true, my friend- He is trustworthy.

Well I have that problem myself so I stopped asking God for signs. And that is hard to do. Because most times yes it is for a need I really do need an answer but for the longest time I have had to just wait. And the lesson I have learned is that I am not really depending on the Lord. Instead I am depending on the sign.
That is the hardest part for my life because for many years I was self dependent and self reliant, but those days have vanished for three years now. And what I have learned in this hard time in life is to seek only Jesus Christ. So that I do not want any thing or any one more Jesus Christ and him only.
Think about the life of Jesus Christ. He did not seek a sign from His Father in heaven. Instead he trusted Him and blessed many as a result of it. Jesus is our example as Christians.
Years ago there was an old Rolling Stone song called You Can't Always Get What You Want". And one phrase always stood out in my mind which I believe is true of the Lord too. You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime you just might find, you get what you need.
And that is true. We just need Jesus Christ .
I hope this helps and God bless.

When you pray, pray God not my will but thy will be done. But you also have to be prepared to except what ever answer He gives you. The answer may not be what you want to hear, but believe me, in the long run, it will work out for the best, even if you can't see it now. Maybe you are not seeing the sign, because you are not liking the answer that it is giving. But, without knowing what you are asking for, this is about the best answer I can give. Hope it helps.

Could it all be a coincidence? Since the answers you seek are varying, maybe it is your mind that is making up these "signs". Now excuse me for a second here (as I am an Atheist), but wouldn't God be infallible? If this is so, then why would He be giving you varying answers to your prayers? Might it be that he hasn't answered them yet? Might it be that He thinks it is something that is within the scope of your control, therefore having no need to intervene in the matter? Honestly, as an atheist, I am kind of in the dark as to some of the workings of your faith, but this is my perspective on the matter, whether or not I believe in it.

This totally depend on what you are asking about and why? Maybe you don't need a fleece. Is it something that is spelled out in the Bible? Is it just a gray area thing? Maybe you should just try it and see what happens. If it's not a direct sin then God could be saying are you willing to go the extra mile. Hard to answer not knowing more details. Sorry. Hope this helps anyway!!

Maybe God doesn't choose to give you a specific sign that you thought up. That'd be like telling God, "I'll believe in you, IF you jump through this hoop."
As the Bible tells us over and over, those who wait for the Lord are blessed.

Believing that an invisible thing in the sky is watching you, listening to you, influencing your life and giving you" signs" are all symptoms of schizoid delusional mental disorder. You should talk to a psychiatrist without delay dear.

Sometimes you just have to act in faith and God will let you know if it is wrong. If you feel like you got an answer, just act on. You don't need to act again.

Is what you are asking for something for your own personal desire? Or, are you asking for something to glorify God? Would getting what you are asking for draw you closer to God or would it pull you further away? Answer these questions to yourself and then decide whether God "should" give you the desire of your heart.

When you pray, you can pray about or for anything, anytime, and at any amount, it doesn't matter, so you can't have asked to much. Maybe God is testing your faith. Whatever's going to be decided will be his will. Maybe he wants you to decide for yourself instead of him deciding for you. There are a lot of different possibilities.
