People dont work in boilers. Just around them. Operaters operate the boilers and keep them with design parameters. Instrument and electrical technicians repair and calibrate instruments and motors that are associated with boilers. Pipe fitter do some work around boilers but ASME code welders that are certified to do work on pressure vessels do the piping chores when the tubes of the boilers have damage. Water treatment personnel also work with boilers and other plant processes that use treated water. Water has to be treated in most cases to be used in boilers.

Mill wrights who had experience in pipiung are needeed to work in boilers. Instrument or electrical technicians are also needed to maintain the electrical controls. ALSO, GOOD PUMP MECHANICS ARE NEEDED TO work on the water pumps. Instrument technicians check on the thickness of the boiler pipes and shell.Mechanical Engineers and mechanics tests the boiler pressure resistance and check on the relief valves whether they will release pressure at a desired setting.
