Rather than adding reams of 'edits' to my previous question I felt I should ask this seperately.

Many answers (to 'what is the Christian explanation of the presence of dinosaurs on this earth?') have indicated that dinosaurs existed around the same time as humankind. Some even suggest that they lived harmoniously before original sin was comitted.

If we take these answers to be true, then I wonder this:

why are there no human fossils as old as dinosaur fossils? If they lived together, at the same time (but dinosaurs were wiped out and we survived) then surely we'd find human fossils of the same, or very similar, age?

My knowledge is lacking in this field, but I think only ape skeletons fossils have been found, but none as old as dinosaur fossils.

Anyone?

Fireball, i DON'T know god wasn't fooling around makign dinosaurs before Adam etc. I'm going on what I've been told by Christians- that humans and dinosaurs existed together. But saying 'you don't know X for sure' isn't an answer- that's just throwing in some more 'ifs' for way of confusion.

The obvious answer, is because humans and dinosaurs didn't coexist. But don't expect creationists to accept any evidence of that. The only books they read are the Bible, those by C.S. Lewis and Lee Strobel and an assortment of apocalyptic fiction.

In regards to Fish's answer. It isn't true. I've been to the Paluxy river personally and witnessed the tracks claimed to be human tracks. Any idiot can tell they are also dinosaur tracks.

Man and Dinosaur didn't share the planet at any time. If you compared the planets existence with a clock then man entered the world at 11:55. Dinosaur was on the planet many hours before.

It’s all to do with the Flood. Christians fundamentalists will tell you that the flood waters ‘ sorted ‘ the bones . And they will point to dubious ways of dating fossils – by dating the rocks around it – and how do you date rocks ? By dating the rocks above and below . Mr Hovind ( Dr Dino ) is very good at arguing this position.

The human footprints alongside Dinosaur footprints in Paluxy River where thoroughly researched during one dry hot summer when the river level fell and uncovered the footprints. They were found to be nothing but eroded dinosaur footprints that resembled human foot prints in the same way that Clouds sometimes look like Sheep.

It saddens me to see people still cling on to fallacies long after they have been disproved.

In geologic time, dinosaurs were WAY older than humans, and they lasted way longer than us, too.
In general comparison, if your span from the tip of your left fingers to the tip of your right fingers is 6 feet, and if that space represents the existance of the Earth, then life alone only started appearing about where your right wrist is. Dinosaurs were around about from the middle of your right hand to the last joint on your right index finger. Then something happened at the last joint and wiped out almost every vestige of large land life.
There was a space of several million years where small mammals started taking over from small lizards and that was about half of that last section of your finger.
Hominids and apes started appearing about the last third of your fingernail.
Man, or anything to do with man, is only the space of that last white crescent on your fingernail; the part you clip each time you do your nails. Buff it once with a nail file, and you wipe out all written history of modern man.

Because dinosaurs lived about 230 million years ago. Man has only been on the earth 2 million years. So why would human remains ever be found with dinosaur remains?

Because dinosaurs existed before man did. The natural history of the earth proves it.

Dinosaurs went extinct about 65 million years ago. The oldest human remains found are about 3.2 million years old. I think you can see from this that it was approximately 60 million years between dinosaur extinction and the emergence of humans.
