I certainly do and those people who think Christ wasn't there originally or shouldn't be there obviously can't spell or understand what Christmas is all about.
Christmas is not a pagan festival it just so happened the early church deliberately decided to celebrate it at the same time as a pagan festival. This was to take the focus away from paganism and onto Christ.

I write it that way. But other than that, no. Christmas was not about Christ. It is a pagan holiday. In fact Pagans were celebrating Christmas long before Christ was even recognized in the holiday. So therefore no I don't.

no, but I'll keep you in mind at Yule.
EDIT. don o. yes, the suits of the time slapped christmas on top of Yule. but it was done in an attempt to ease the forced conversion of Pagans to christianity. but I have to ask. if christ has 'always been there' why is it there is no mention of christianity before the times of roman 'Caesars'. and if anyone cares to work it out from the writings, jesus would have been born around mid august, not december.

Since Christmas is essentially a pagan holiday, he wasn't "in" Christmas in the first place. (Despite the fact that his name is attached to it to make it easier to accept).
In the Bible the ONLY date Jesus asked his followers to commemorate was his death (not his birth), because that is what was significant. Besides, rather than relegating Jesus to the position of a helpless baby in a manger that has accomplished nothing, it is better to remember him as a King at God's right hand so-to-speak, that has made possible the salvation of all mankind.

It's all about Him - Christ - the reason for the season.
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called - Wonderful Counselor - Mighty God - Everlasting Father (of Eternity) - Prince of Peace. AMP version.

Luke 2;11 For to you is born this day in the town of David, a Saviour who is Christ(The Messiah) The Lord.
Yeshua Hameshia

Can i just add - The date or time of yr does not matter - this is when we celebrate the birth of Christ - and to the poster above - that is your opinion that He was a helpless babe - you cannot take away that Christ's birth means a lot to some of us. Without that helpless babe - where would we be. It's a very special time for me - i am closer to my Saviour and Lord at this time of yr - something you may not understand.
It's a time of *AWE* and *WONDER* Be blessed.

No, Christ was never "in" Christmas in the first place. it is a pagan holiday the RCC adapted to deceive outsiders.
