My Cousin and his girlfriend of a year recently broke up, she found out he cheated on her. Her and I were good friends so I was the first one out of the family she called about. After a few days she wanted to hang out with me, go to the bar with me, and affiliate with me with everything. She knew I was looking for a new place to live because I wasnt getting along with my current roomate, so she asked me to come move in with her. Is she taking a liking to me now? Or is it she is just clinging on to anyone that reminds her of my cousin? I got that feeling she was, and I started to feel the same away, but I pushed myself away thinking like that. Do you think she is coming on to me now?

Your right, I know it will be a mistake thats why I pushed myself away from her. I know my cousin still screwed up, but he is my family and I dont want to screw it up with him.

Agree with the above poster that it would be a huge mistake to move in with her. She could be consiously, or unconsiously, using you to make your cousin jealous and hurt him the way he has hurt her or to keep tabs on him through you, or just hurt and confused and trying to fill the hole in her heart with the closest thing to what she had with her cousin.

If she is really interested in you for you and you like her, it is best to keep it cool for now to allow her time to sort out her feelings and to make sure it is really over between her and your cousin before stepping in...if you don't you will be the one getting hurt if they hook back up again and have to be around them until you can find another living arrangement.

basically, i have the impression she is giving
your cousin a view of how strong she is.
she is letting him know that she doesn't need him.
in fact, not only can she survive without him,
she can also provide for other people (namely his family)
better than he can. i think you are her pivot point.
she is using you to get some leverage in this situation
she defianetly thinks you are very sweet and agreeable;
willing to copperate even. she probably still wants your cousin hwver many times she may say she doesn't...
g'luck :)
