According to the bible, those who are ignorant of God will get in to heaven (some "ignorance clause" I heard of). Like those people living in areas untouched by people trying to spread the word of God or people that believed in something entirely different and never heard of God or Jesus. So by spreading the word of God and those who dont accept it will go to hell. I know its their choice to accept God or not but if the Word was never spread, they would be going to heaven; now they will forever burn in hell. Why would anyone take that chance will someone' soul? They claim to want to save everyone but are kind of doing the opposite. Isnt it better to keep it to yourself? This way everyone is guaranteed to be saved. (well those that live a "good" life or whatever that means)

P.S.- Not atheist but still most likely going to hell because of the way I think.

I posted this a month ago but no one really answered the question.

No Christians don't send people to Hell. God is the one who is sending people to Hell.

Christians don't have the authority or power to send people to hell thank goodness. I'm not sure where you found in the bible that those who are ignorant of God will get into heaven, but my understanding of the issue is that all of us have an inherent knowledge of God, He has designed us this way. We know deep down that there is a moral law and a moral law giver. We end up in hell when we disobey God's moral law that is written on our hearts. We all struggle with this and realize that we fall short. This is very bad news for us because we have no chance of clearing our debt to God. We have already broken his laws and one instance is enough, because He cannot tolerate impurity in any measure.( I fall short daily). Look at Cornelius in the bible. He realized he was falling short and was desperately seeking after God. That however wasn't enough. Someone needed to tell him about the gift of Christ's substitutionary atonement and the necessity of accepting it. Without accepting Christ's gift we go to hell, not because God is cruel or petty, but because it is what justice requires. Rest assured that no one who is truly seeking after God will fail to hear the good news of Christ.

When someone talks to you about God (spreads the word) it is because the person wants to help you understand the way that you are thinking. If they do not talk to you about God, they are guilty of sending you to hell. Usually a person does not change the way they think because they have many unanswered questions. If you would sincerely study who God is with someone who has a relationship with God (not just talking about God) then you will have a better chance of understanding why you think the way that you do. More important than anything, ask God himself, He is more than willing to help you, He is eagerly waiting for you to ask Him - read a newer version of the Bible and ask for answers.

well, I wonder how you heard this bs about people going to heaven if noone spread about christianity. People are trying to spread christianty because they believe that it will save the nonbeliever from going to hell. The pure heart and charity will not give you a ticket to heaven, its not that easy. Like you stated, the only way is through believing Jesus as lord and savior. Hope this answer your question.

God isn't depending on Christians to get the job done, so to speak. He asks us to share the good news, but if we all decided to stop, he would still be reaching out to each individual in his own way. Every person receives saving knowledge from once source or another by the age of accountability, and repeatedly from that point on. It's what you sometimes hear referred to as the "still, small voice."

I remember hearing a story some years ago about a woman who grew up in a village where there were no Christians. One night she walked out in the rain, and suddenly realized that someone had created her and loved her and had made a way to have a relationship with her, and she celebrated. Many years later, missionaries came, and when they told her about Christ...it all came together for her. But she didn't need them to define it for it to be true.

Well, let's see........are you saying that people who live away from world societies and are never told the gospel will be excused because no one came and told them about God and that they will go to heaven? Well, that's just wrong thinking. Every person must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ in order to go to heaven. Those who live off somewhere that no Christian has ever been to witness to them, still have no excuse. The Bible says God created man with a capacity to know Someone put the universe in order.......Someone had to create the world around them.......He makes Himself known to man. God is able to reveal Himself wherever man is.......in the deepest jungles......on the smallest island.....wherever. He doesn't have to use people to reveal truth to anyone.......Please don't limit His abilities. He offers salvation to all, but all do not accept this free gift He offers. That's what it comes down to.....not how you live your life because no one can be good enough to get to heaven on his own. No, He comes to us individually at least once in our lives and most of the time He comes over and over to woo us to Him. Our rejection of Him is what keeps us from heaven, even those in closed, remote places of the world.

Where have you read that those ignorant of the truth will go to heaven? EVERYONE will be given an opportunity to accept God. Those who don't......well you know. And no you don't have to go to hell. Make an educated decision, not one based on what you hear from other people, but one based on things you read in the bible, and or heard from the preacher man at church. Its your choice. As long as your on this earth you have an opportunity.

The people filling your head with hellfire and brimstone are the ones with the ignorance. Read Jeremiah 7:31 and really meditate on what God is telling us--he would NEVER burn his children alive in fire. He is a loving God and wants so much to protect and nourish each one of us with blessings which will lead to happiness. We need to get to really know him and not just listen to people who are trying to exploit his word for their own benefit. Most ministers get paid, yet Jesus said, "You received free, so give free." Keep looking for the truth and really comparing it to the Bible yourself--God will lead you to those who really know it. Read your Bible daily.

Christians do not send anyone to Hell.

Christians do not have the authority.

God is the Judge and He will decide.

If we accept what Jesus has done and believe on Jesus and repent and live for Him, heaven is ours.

If not, we will perish.

Lot of people get all offended by that.

Well one thing I know....

At least we can make a CHOICE.

If Jesus had not died for us, shed His blood, and rose again...
We would have had only ONE option: The Lake of Fire.

Since He did...we can choose between Heaven or the Lake of Fire.

Some will say, But what about those who haven't heard?

Well, they have creation.
We don't know if they really haven't heard. We are only assuming.
God will judge them fairly.

Sides what is that to us?

John 21: 20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

24This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

I am not sure where you came to the conclusion that ignorance is a reason for being disobedient. God says that He has written His laws upon our hearts, we know it is not right to steal, murder, lie, dishonor, covet, commit adultery, though we may harden our hearts with our self justification. If any one really took a look at them selves, they would know, all have sinned. and their is only one way, one truth, one life, Jesus Christ! Faith comes from hearing. BTY no one lives a "good" life at least not according to Gods standards.
