Yes sounds familiar, so much sitting is bad for the back. What happens is that you sit, might not have arm rests on the chair, so you will slowly lean on the table. This supports the upper body, because as this bad habit progresses, the muscles in the back, those that are designed to keep the upper back in position 'weaken'. Therefore I suggest you see a PT and ask about Pilate's, excellent exercise for the entire body, takes it from contracting a single muscle all the way through correct breathing and then onto cardio-vascular work out, if you want to go that far. Posture is the key to well being and by isolating certain muscle groups and exercising them, you strengthen the muscles and they keep you in the correct posture. Good Luck.

Hello!
Im familiar with your situation, I’ve had back pain long ago.
Yet, I was able to say bye-bye to the pain, and now im living a healthy life (at least its back pain free :-).
Since then I’ve made my personal web page about my experiences and useful back pain treatments.
I don’t want to fill a lot of space here with my writings as there are many ways to relief the pain,
so I would recommend you to visit my site and read the detailed ebook I wrote.
And don’t worry, there is no any catch, you can read all pages online or even download it for free.
I hope you get better, and love to hear about you!
Take care!

Before you decide to start stretching to relieve it, you might want to find out what is causing it so you don't cause any more damage. What you are going thru sounds like what I went thru when I was first diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease.
Get it checked out.
Check out the link below and see if that is what you are going thru.
