Soaking wormwood in vodka does not make absinthe. It only makes the vodka very bitter tasting.

First of all, Wormwood causes kidney failure. That is how it got banded world wide in the early 1900's. Van Gogh drank it and he cut off his ear. (Seriously, he was probably way disturbed before drinking the Absinthe). Secondly you won't achieve a Liquorice taste soaking it in Vodka. You will need the Liquorice herb for that.
Try Absentee. It is a new form of the original now marketed in the US...110 proof.

Besides destroying your brain and driving yourself insane? No. You really need to research this better. Sounds like you learning to directly poison yourself.
Just because Victorian-era artists tipped bottles of the stuff down their gullets doesn't mean its going to taste good or make you feel good. People drank rubbing alcohol during the prohibition of the 1930's, and died. No one ever got romantic about that.
And there are lots of wormwoods. Are you sure you have the correct variety?
Absynthe was a LIQUER. A sugary, syrupy, strongly alchololic kind of brandy distilled from, probably the plant itself, like a peach brandy; make a wine first, then distill that to make brandy, and age it, etc. You need to research the general brandy-making process and know the difference between liquor and liquer.
You might research also why absinthe was discontinued as a popular drink and outlawed. Try researching, maybe some British websites to do with the history of making liquers.
Don't poison yourself just for kicks. You could really kill your sanity. What's left of it.

I think that you can buy kits for making absinthe on e-bay, but I used to get it from http://www.originalabsinthe.com/. This website also sells absinthe spoons, and glasses.
