A person appointed by the President to represent the United States in other countries.

The appointee is usually a big contributor to the Presidential political party or campaign or a very wealthy corporate leader who has "earned" the position by making political concessions through the lobbying process.

In any case, most who hold the position do so only due to patronage or nepotism. They are rarely equipped to fulfill their duties and usually have no diplomatic skills.

Commenting on the word as you have defined it, my personal experience is that few who "represent" Christ are worthy. Most "ambassadors" are bigoted, arrogant, tend towards racism, intolerant and hold themselves in high regard.

Nothing could be more anti-Christ than that.

I believe that someone who is an ambassador is one who is diplomatic by nature. A lot of Christians I have encountered have made me realize that they are not an ambassador of their own religion. Of course some are very understanding and accepting of my views, but I have been met with a lot of awkward stares and a few condemnations to hell from Christians upon revealing that I am an atheist. I would like to believe I am an ambassador of atheism to the Christians. I am a well spoken individual who is not judgmental of someone until they have been judgmental to me. I believe that there are people on both sides that are intolerant of each other, and that brings us nowhere fast.

I think of a foreign embassy. An ambassador should help make sure that someone visiting another country is safe and help them become familiar with the territory and help find necessary accommodations.

It is an ambassadors' job to put the best face forward and to keep positive relations.

Christ is the end of the law: Romans 10:4
You're for law; is not an ambassador of Christ.
Try C of JC instead of C of CJ is mirrorly reverse.

It is preposterous order to teach first, and learn after.
Get the beam (law) out of your own eye FIRST, to see.
When thou art converted, then strengthen thy brethren.

Conan - good remember! My first car was a '68 AMC Javelin! Metallic maroon paint, blk racing stripes, Crager Mags..... oh, the memories... oh yeah, and the 8-track player too!

It is sad when you have to put a copyright when quoting scricpture! Thankfully according to the actual word of God, "the word of God is not bound." Now I just quoted the Bible their. Please do not sue me for the lack of copyright! Oh yeah..you can not sue me because there is no copyright on the King James....coincidence? I think not!
