It is funny because the question was about the badges. I said Yahoo must have given me mine to punish me, because I had five violations the day before it appeared. Maybe there is a literate person reading these Q&A at random. Well, fry my okra! I am amazed! It is the first sign I have ever had that there may be some intelligent life form at Yahell! Yahoooo!

My % of BA is exactly what it has been from before I got the badge, and I have not received a violation in weeks. Is this irony or what? I really don't need no stankin' badge!

Hey, what's up with the Thumbs Down Freaks? By the way, A. Drawers, I am not complaining about a badge that I did not work for, I am pointing out the total unpredictable nature of the Yahoos who "police" this forum. It appeared when I had been violated five times, and it disappeared when I had no violations for the longest period of time I have been on this forum. I was only at 10% when I was "awarded" the badge, and at 12% now. I could care less about the badge, but it would be interesting to know what Yahoo uses for a formula. I don't live in the dark, Drawers.

Yes. You will lose your TC badge if you do not answer enough questions in your category to meet Yahoo's weekly criteria (a Yahoo secret) for the TC badge. You can be inactive for around 2 weeks before it is removed, which makes me think that Yahoo must use some sort of rolling 2 or 3 week total to award the badge.

LOL! Mine disappeared today too. Still have a 15% BA, but I don't answer as much as I used to. Does that mean I'm getting a life??? hehee
I say good riddance........if they make them baby blue or sage green, then maybe I want one. ;))
What I'm really waiting to see is who gets the TR badges for Top Reporter!!! LOL That should make the fur fly.....and the okra fry!!!

I had the same thing happen. I discovered I had the badge this evening. Then I answered a few questions, and it was gone. Now it is back. Do we have phantom badges? And what did I do to get one in the first place?
