Real or fake tree, which one will you be putting up this year, and why?
Me, I'm going with the real thing, I like the smell, and the fun of picking it out, negatives are the expense, and the pain of putting it up.

both of best worlds, baby.
the fake one's a themed tree (Hershey's!), and the real one's what we use to display the family ornaments & such.

I went with the fake this year. I am going to miss the smell of having a real tree in the house. Mainly I'm going with the fake is because we have 2 dogs and I didn't want them eating it. and also because the fake is pre-light, huge bonus!!!

I live in the great N.W. so I can walk outside and smell all of the trees I want everyday of the year!
I put up a fake one for a few reasons, it is perfect in shape, the lights are on it and it is in two pcs in a box. it is 9 ft tall, I have 10 tall ceilings, i don't have to trim or cut it to fit.
My two dogs don't try to pull it out of the ground, "it doesn't belong in their way", they would say if they could talk. He would even lift his leg on a tree in the house, he has before, so no a fake tree is great in the house and you can come and see the great N.W. and smell our trees anytime free!

I love real trees, but unfortunately I have to do a fake tree this year. My family is going out of town for the holidays and we can't have a live tree dying in our house, especially since we have three dogs and two cats. And my grandparents don't believe in live trees; they've had a fake tree since before I was born.

fake tree = fake Christmas i like the real ones too. the smell the mess it all goes with Christmas the only trouble this year will be the new puppy it's his first Christmas in side since when he was a farm dog in his first few mouths and lived in a barn so we're a little iffy about how he will act but that won't stop us from putting in a real one Douglas spruce all the way.

Fake. Plus you can use the fake tree every single year instead of buying a new one every year.

Fake. I live in Fiji and I don't think they sell real ones here. Pehaps a palm christmas tree would be cute!

Every year I put out two small ceramic trees and decorate the live Christmas tree that keeps getting taller and taller on my porch.
