Ok well iam 16 and on saturday night I went to a party that got busted and I got a minor for drinking, and when my dad came to pick me he didn't say a word so i said sorry dad. When we got home he told me i was was grounded for 2 months so I said whatever i don't ****** care (big mistake) so we got in this huge argument at the end i told him goto hell I turned around then looked back and i saw him taking of his belt and he has never done that before did i deserve that much of a punishment?

Normally I would have said at 16 you are too old to be spanked but your behaviour was that of a 10 year old brat not a boy who is about to become a man, so yes you did deserve it. You were in the wrong and you should have accepted your punishment like a man not like a little boy. You are lucky to have a dad who cares enough to show you when you are wrong.
I know you wont like my answer but Im being straight with you.

YES, you deserved to be "spanked", belted, whacked, hairbrushed, paddled, and/or a strong dose of the razor strop ... for starters. Maybe you should live "in the woodshed" for a while as it seems you need to visit there frequently..
You are 16? With your drinking and with your BIG MOUTH, it will be a wonder if you live until you are 17 !!

Can we suppose he then swung it across your BARE backside at least 32 to 39 licks?
IMO, you should not be grounded for 2 months ... that is a bit excessive if it was grounded to your room except for school and going places WITH your parents. Not surprising though if your folks could figure some way to keep you from any more "parties" for at least a year and maybe until you are 18.
Even I would hope your dad did put his belt to good use after he took it off. Maybe you should also get a "reminder" with the belt each week for the 2 months you are grounded?

Actually, it would seem there is a totally dysfunctional family there ... and a kid (you) who has no training in Faith. Neither GROUNDING nor BELTING are solutions to the problems in your home ... but they could be ways of getting your attention!

You should have stopped after your dad said you were grounded. What did you expect no punishment at all? So yes you deserved it. You disrespected your dad and thats all there is to it. Besides you are a minor. Maybe when you are older you will understand. Why is drinking so important anyway at 16.

Yes. What you did was wrong and I'm sure that if you would have just acknowledged to him without attitude that you had done wrong then you would have been grounded and it would be over with. Now you've got the belt, got grounded, got caught drinking, and lost alot of respect from your father. In situations like this it's always best to kiss ***...just a suggestion for next time.

Definitely. The reason you got spanked was most likely because you were disrespectful to your dad. he may have dealt with things differently if you had just sucked up to the two months of being grounded. You live in his home and he supports you... if you want to speak to him that way you will need to deal with the consequences.
Get out in the real world and start running your mouth like that and see what happens.

You better be glad that I was not your parent because I would have beat you azz until you were liquor and curse word free.

Yes you deserved it and he should have grounded you until you turn 18.
He was stupid for letting you go to a party anyway.Most parents do not REALIZE that when kids go to parties, there is usually NO parent there and most the time they are doing drugs and drinking etc even when there is an adult present.They need to KNOW WHO their kids are with and WHAT they are doing!

spanking is stupid, but yeah you do deserve some punishment fit for a 16 year old.... I think I was 8 last time I got spanked...

I will never condone hitting a child, BUT, now that I am a parent I understand what my parents were always so pissed about! They are worried about you and it is scary when your kid uses bad judgement and gets in trouble and parents get scared and react in ways they shouldnt. Just try to have some more respect for their feelings and understand that they only care about you and that is why they get mad and ground you etc...sorry this happened-but you wont do it again right??

What on earth did you expect your father to do, you were the one in the wrong, and then you end up swearing at him, no wonder the man saw red, he must of been hopping mad with you, he picked you up because he cared, and then you were rude to him, yeah, you deserved a wallop.
