I'm not going to pretend I believe in the bible or Christian teaching, but this isn't just a cheap way to get a dig in at a religion I disagree with (I disagree with them all, but that's not the issue).

Christians, what is your explanation of the (proven) presence of creatures like dinosaurs on this earth in the past? Why does the bible not mention them and why, when the earth was created with Adam and Eve put on it very early on, did no-one once mention these gigantic creatures?

What's the Christian explanation for such things?

Clarely I need to look up some chapters, here. So if we accept that there were these gigantic monsters on the earth along with Adam and Eve, then did they ever interact? If they're sharing a land then you'd think a T-rex would cause of spot of bother...

FISH, what? Regardless of my faith, or otherwise, in the text, whether I can hold the thing in my hands doesn't make it a reputable source. This is a genuine question, not a snipe at Christians.

Myself, your answer is interesting but creates more questions here: if, before sin, all animals (dinosaurs included) were living peacefully, then did (proven) carniverous dinosaurs develop their sharp (not plant-eating) teeth AFTER original sin? Because to be honest that sounds like Evolution to me.

God made the world, and EVERTHING in it, including the dinosaurs.
In Genies 1:1 i says. "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
So, everthing on the earth and in heaven was and is created by God.
So if there is evidence of dinosaurs here on earth, you better believe that they were created by God.
And no, not directly does God mention dinosaurs in the Bible, but they did become extinct not to long after the flood.
And you have to remember that before sin entered the world, all creatures, animals and humans alike, were all good. none of them were mean or harmful in anyway. It was only after Adam and eve sinned did evil come into the world.
So having huge dino creatures were not all that significant, they blended in with the rest of God's creations. And also, not all dinosaurs were believed to be very big, a lot of them were smaller then you would believe.

You are trying to mix science and religion, paleontology and theology. For example, Shakespeare's Hamlet displays clearly the pitfalls of the human condition and teaches a lesson. However it is counter to historical record and Historians are demanding people stop reading it because it is fiction.
Do you see the silliness of this example, strange as it is?
The Holy Scriptures were not written to explain the scientific workings of the material world. They were written to edify the spiritual thirst of man to help us know God's will. The Bible contains the CHIEF truths necessary for salvation. Not ALL facts, truth or history. Just the chief truths of salvation. No more, no less. You cannot use it to repair a Chevy engine, as a recipe for a cake, or as a natural history textbook. When you search the bible for answers, the answer you find is God. If you search the bible for dinosaurs, it is as effective as if I tried to find Pizza Hut's phone number in the Encyclopedia Britannica.
Finally, the existence of the dinosaurs does not discredit the Bible in any fashion. It may discredit some peoples interpretation of it. Likewise the contents of the bible do not disprove the existence of dinosaurs either. In fact, in the end, when we finally know the full truth, both will be found completely compatible and we will wonder how we missed the obvious.
But before you throw the bible away, describe the unified theory of relativity that ties all of the contradictory theories of quantum mechanics together. If you cannot get that one down pat and yet accept science, I suggest you keep an open mind on the spiritual.

The Bible account in the first chpt. of Genesis gives the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Some dinosaurs may have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” And possibly other types of dinosaurs were created in the 6th epoch. The large variety of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by God for a purpose, even if we don't fully understand that purpose right now. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence AGAINST the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Therefore, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it's in harmony with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.

Some of them are indeed mentioned in the Bible...just not called dinosaurs which was not a word in use until the mid 1800's. The Bible refers to them as 'behemoth, leviathon, tannin or dragons" In addition, there are many cultures worldwide that speak of dragons in their history as well as cave drawings or paintings and other artifacts that depict them quite closely or man and dinosaurs together. Many creationist websites explain this very well. There are over 2 million current species on earth and million's more that have gone extinct...many of them are not specifically mentioned in the Bible either. It's sufficient for God to have said that He created all the life forms on earth in the week of creation.

The bible does not have to mention them, the earth God spent ages preparing in an ages and ages old earth for the intended inhabitants does.

The book began year 2513, all existed and two book to then, 3560 years ago,
and has nothing to do with the age of the earth, but the inhabitants of earth after Adam only. At 2007 CE the book has been in circulation 396 years.

The history of the planet and the history of the book is two different things.

True, the bible does not specifically mention dinosaurs.

The word behemoth in Job 40:15 comes from a root meaning beast. Scholars are far from united as to what Job meant. Speculation ranges all the way from dinosaur to mammoth to hippopotamus.

Leviathan (Job 41:1) is the same. It means "large aquatic animal" and has been translated as sea monster. None of these references require a dinosaur to fit the context of the passage. If we weren't already looking for dinosaurs, I don't believe we would have seen them in these passages.

Here's an interesting angle ...

Dinosaurs were the product of genetic tinkering by Satan and the Nephilim in the pre-flood era and were destroyed along with the rest of creation in the flood.

Very simple
evolution, the dinosaurs came first,
I have no problem with that,
and through Gods plan [or blue print] man was evolved
millions of yrs later,
Those wise old Jewish scholars, did not know' God created
the dinosaurs, or even knew they existed
Remember' The old testament is simply a guide or map book
The new testament, to me' is my starting point.
if I sound outrageous to other Christians' my apologies

there are many different theories about what time periods are actually involved in God`s creative work.
one reason for this is because the Bible says that with God one day is as 1000 years and 1000 years is as one day. so our finite minds don`t fathom what God`s plan could really intale! God`s Word talks about the things that he desires to talk to us about!
besides, do you talk about absolutely everything that ever existed, or only the things that are important to you during your current conversations?
should`nt the Creator of the universe have the same privilege?does he talk about every type of plant or animal? does he talk about dna or name every element in creation by name?
does he list every human that ever lived?
like he told Job, where were you when he set the planets in their place? and what right does the creation have to question the Creator?

They did. They used terms like leviathan and behemoth. You know, "dinosaur" is a very modern term.

Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

Job 40:16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.

Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

Job 40:18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.

I think they put things into a hierarchy, and go from there with explanations of why, not sure about if there is a how.
Isn't it dangerous to abandon religion in this sort of society though, with 'celebs' having meaning to people?
