I understand truth building upon truth, but the truth will never change.

Pierce: Thank you for your concern. I believe that the truth sets us free.

Line Dancer: It is a very minority group who call themselves Christians but do not believe in Trinity. Christian Trinity is not the same as pagan trinity, and that is why it was introduced a little by little so that people would not think Trinity is three god concept. This is truth building on the truth, not like the Watchtower teaching: claimed "truth" changed to be "mistake" and exchanged it to be different truth ..of course for only time being until it is changed again to another "new light truth".

Migue Archangel; What a stupid comment. I know why I celebrate Christmas. JWs have been changing their view on Christmas, like that is really a hard concept to get right...espeacially because the Watchtower Society believes to be the only channel of communication between God and people. Hello, wake up!

New light can not replace new light, if it does then you never had the truth, truth can not replace truth except in some people minds.

Does man still believe that the earth is supported by four elephants that are standing on the back of a giant sea turtle? Do astronomers still believe that the universe revolves around the earth? Do medical doctors still feel it's okay to go from handling corpses to delivering babies without washing their hands first?

As man grows in knowledge, many of his views need to be altered. Does that mean that facts change? No. It just means that the human species is getting a better understanding of the world around us. To go back to a number of the old ways would be foolish.

Jehovah does not reveal all there is to know about anything. He gives us what we need a little at a time. Jesus' followers were eager to know many things. But did Jesus completely satisfy their hunger for knowledge. No. At John 16:12, Jesus told them: "I have many things yet to say to you, but you are not able to bear them at present."

As Christianity went forward, a number of things changed. Under the Law, a man could have more than one wife. But that changed. As 1 Tim. 3:2 says: "The overseer should therefore be irreprehensible, a husband of one wife."

What about circumcision, which was required under the Law? After Jehovah showed his acceptance of Gentiles into the Christian congregation, and since many from the nations were responding to the preaching of the good news, a decision had to be made by the governing body at Jerusalem on the question, Is it necessary for Gentile Christians to get circumcised in the flesh? The conclusion of the matter: The “necessary things” for Gentiles and Jews alike did NOT include circumcision. Ac 15:6-29.

As we expand in Bible knowledge and customs of the world, adjustments have to be made. Edge mentioned that JW's USED TO celebrate holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. For a change, he is correct. But WHY did JW's stop celebrating such holidays? It is because it was learned that such observances were based on paganism. Most Yahoo participants acknowledge that Christmas, Easter, and Halloween are pagan, even though they still celebrate them. JW's don't. When they found that certain holidays were wrong, they abruptly rejected them.

What about you, Nina? Do you and the rest of your "followers" refrain from paganism or do you still involve yourselves in the ways of demons?

I answered your question in great detail, yet all you can say to me is something about a trinity? Did I mention a trinity here? Stick to the subject. Are you too afraid to admit I'm right? Or are you trying to divert attention away from your obvious hatred for Jehovah's Witnesses?

BTW, Christmas and the other holidays being pagan is NOT a Watchtower teaching. It is a matter of historical FACT! READ what non-witness Yahoo members say.

No one said it was the truth. The only rules are Jehovah’s commandments – as I showed you earlier.

First Corinthians - Chapter 6.

We are not going to die if the organization has some problem with us because of petty details. Only if we turn against Jehovah’s Holy Spirit. And going against his commandments in a unrepentant way would be going against his spirit.

And if his commandments change before the end of this system than he himself is the liar.

Are you refering to Bible prophecies concerning the future? As I always emphasized, that the real true regenerated christians always explain all other things in the light of the Bible and never explain the Bible in the light of other things. Because the Holy Bible is our final authority in our faith and in our practice.

I admire your relentless questioning. But if you continue on this path, like I did, you will find so many inconsistencies in both the new and old testament scriptures, that you will find yourself in a very unhappy and bewildering situation.

The "new light" makes the old light false. For instance they used to be able to celebrate Christmas. Now they can't. Their "new light" says that celebrating Christmas is wrong. It previously said it was fine. Thus the "old light" is wrong and the "new" is right. Basically the "light" changes whenever the men in charge change their minds.
