I don't drink a lot of soda. Maybe 1 can everyday, but if I quit will I lose weight. I'm already underweight so I don't want to lose anymore. What can I do to gain weight and look healthier?

You'll want to get some protein, so either add more meat into your diet, red meat in particular, or invest in some protein weight gaining shake mix, like cal-tech.

To keep your body in good shape, start lifting some weights to build all the protein into muscle.

If you really CAN completely quit drinking Soda (& it's NOT easy cuz I've tried- and failed)- try to replace it with either fruit juice (for the vitamins) or milk (for the Calcium). THAT way you won't "lose" the calories- but you WILL gain the nutrition! And if you happen to like Milkshakes- a couple extra of THOSE a week, will help you pick up a few pounds too... So good luck getting "off the soda"- and ON TO getting healthy! :)

You are better off without that poison. You will be missing some calories, I don't remember how much is in a soda what is it 200 calories. That's a healthy snack.

To gain weight and look healthier, well eat more nutrient dense foods and workout.

to gain weight AND look healthier you wanna bulk up, that requires lifting heavy and getting protien in your meals throughout the day. However a can of regular soda is very concentrated in calories, 1 can s probably 100-150 calories so it's not too significant to lose weight drastically. To gain just fat just intake more calories a day then you burn off.

congrats on your decision!
you'll find that once you do and if you can get rid of that craving you wont miss them.
The human body doesnt register calories in liquids the same as it does in solid foods because of the empty calorie factor in sugary sodas.
If you want to have something bubbly, try doing a mineral or seltzer water mixed 1/2 with orange juice and/or cranberry juice. i wouldnt worry about the weight loss here if thats what youre concerned about.
in fact you could gain weight, everyone is different so i cant give you a definite answer.
if you want to gain weight, start eating raw whole nuts and mix them with avocadoes and other veggies in a food processor and use it as a sandwich pate spread.
google recipes with nuts.
looking healthier also depends on what you eat.
eat distorted foods and you'll get a distorted body.
eat whole foods and you get a whole body.
you are what you eat is the mantra, exercise too and say "om"
before you know it you'll start getting a glow about you.

Good for you. drop the soda's. One a day adds to 15.3 cases a year. OMG....lots of wasted calories. Gaining is easy. Shoot for 3000 calories a day of quality food. You can get 1800 of those with two protein shakes for weight gainers. With the added calories you'll need a good workout plan to go with it.

No, I don't think you'll lose any more weight if you quit drinking soda..one can a day won't hurt..to gain weight...eat salad or fruits, no junk food though..

Eat healthy food, it bulks you up nicely where as junk goes straight to your gut. A work out (weights or bodyweight will help as well)
I didnt gain any good looking weight till I started eating healthy food. I was already working out but didnt get results till I ate properly.
