You left out the part where Christ stands in the gap.

Yes - God has everything recorded. Fortunately, there is a way to where God puts your sins as far as the East is from the West. Consider this - if He said as far as North from South - well that changes everytime you hit another pole. As far as East is from West - well that is infinity. Fortunately - it's not up to my words to justify me. No one is perfect Romans 3:23. Justification came by Jesus act of death upon the cross. He rose again to give me new life. I've definitely made my share of mistakes - we all have. Fortunately - I may be embarrassed by some things at the judgment but I won't be condemmed. I'm covered by the blood of Christ. This is such a loaded question - to provide a real thorough answer would take some time and I don't know how serious you are in asking. George Michael most certainly does not believe in a day of judgment. If he did - he'd either repent or commit suicide. As far as judgments there are 2 - one for the unrighteous and one for the righteous. The one for the unrighteous is the one that condems - the one for the righteous is for accounting what gets burned forever and what lasts for all eternity as far as your actions and words. It also is how we'll find out what kind of station we'll have in the heavenlies. I don't understand all that fully but it's not as simple as you're proposing. You must read the entire word of God and compare many scriptures, understand the context and study them before you just pick one out and make an interpretation about it.

He has guided my hand in answering these questions, and believe me, there have been some incredible revelations that have come through these words... that have even astounded myself! I had yet another insight into the concept of "hell" because of someone's question I answered tonight.

I hope, and I pray, that my words glorify my Lord. If not, I know that He understands my weaknesses, and has forgiven my sins. But as the "prayer" goes... "Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace." I pray that the answers I give, especially in the R&S section, will help people to understand the concepts and doctrines of the Christian faith.

BTW... my Day of Judgement has passed... it passed when I accepted the Gift of Salvation through Jesus. So, I fear no judgement.

Have a blessed day.

A non-existing entity is recording my every word! And, just as "supernaturally", this non-existing entity is recording my every thought and deed, as well.

Yes, this is one of the quaint beliefs. When I was a little Catholic boy I recall how my mom, the nuns and priests would attempt to use such imaginary paternal "overlording" to attempt to keep us kids in line.

But it's not true. What does keep us behaving well is our own conscience, and I'm here to report that god just got in the way of that for a long time. I feel better now.

It's ok to free yourself from such silly bondage to imaginary forces. We are captains of our own worlds, whether we recognize it or not. We are responsible to each other and to ourselves, and that's all. And that is quite enough.

I both love and fear that verse. The truth that we will all have to give account for every idle word we speak is very sobering, and it drives me to bridle this unruly evil called the tongue. Thank you for sharing. I just wish some people did not come to the Religion and Spirituality topic to spew their idle chatter.

Yes every word is recorded and on judgement day you will have to answer to it, whether it condemn or justify is up tp GOD.

Perhaps God should spend his time stopping innocents being harmed, or preventing hundreds from starving to death each minute, instead of wire tapping a web site.

I mean, helping athletes, musicians, and actors win awards is cool, God, but don't forget the poor and helpless. Then again, perhaps God is a fairy tale.

Thoth is recording everything you do so that when you enter Ma'at's Hall of Justice and answer to her what you have done in this world, he can testify to it. If you pass you go on to the afterlife, if you fail, your soul gets eaten by Amut. Choose your words carefully.

So is Google.

Be honest and upright. And be kind. Whether anyone is watching or not. That is the judge of character.

All gods and various "holy" scriptures aside, let's stay on target.

I am proud of what I say in this forum. I am glad for the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight from so many at one time. It saddens me to have to sift through the diatribes of those who are not interested in learning, only interested in converting or shunning. I am blessed to be able to raise my children in a household where faith will not be thrust upon them, but embraced by them if and when they choose. I am thankful that this forum, and the laws afforded me in the constitution, allow me to do that without fear of persecution.
Please stop trying to persecute those of us who believe differently than you.

Yeah, but what if you are predestined to be an atheist wouldn't it be against God's will to be anything but? In my opinion if you speak from the heart out of such notions as love, truth, forbearance, and benevolence God will be OK with your answer.
