When the "new light" changes to "newer light" then this "new light" does not come directly from God but the men on the governing body decide what they think God MIGHT want and they are oftentimes mistaken.

Practica: I have said over and over again that I do not hate JWs. Why do you come to make that kind of statements? Are you so used to lies

The JW are the sort of "sign-seekers" that Christ warned his followers to avoid--Already they have predicted the "end day" 6 times--& 6 times they have been wrong---avoid then like the plague.

First of all, I don't see you attacking JWs, no matter how much they may cry wolf. What I see is your distrust and disdain for the WTS and that is completely with merit because the org. is the blind leading the blind that will cause everyone following it to fall into the pit. This is what we would like to see prevented, hence the reason why we take precious time out of our daily schedule to post here.

Now, as far as "new light" is concerned:

1. Prov. 4:18 is not speaking about one's belief at all. It is speaking about one's ACTIONS, to wit, how our righteous living will be an illumination upon the path as we walk throughout our life. It speaks of the process of sanctification that spans across the lifetime of the believer.

2. God says it is impossible for Him to lie. He is going to tell the truth each and every time and if someone is truly speaking for him, they cannot make a mistake or teach something deceptive. period. There is no way to justify anything else.

3. God says that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. This means that He does not change His mind--EVER! Scripture speaks of Him not changing even as much as the variance of a shadow. What He says goes, today, tomorrow, and for all time.

Between common sense and Scripture, then, it should be blatantly obvious that the only ones who change are fallible human beings. The only ones who make mistakes are men. Then, it should logically follow that if someone makes mistakes, he is speaking from his own initiative only and not from God, no matter how many times a person wants to say otherwise.

Jesus foretold, in Matthew 24, that in the last days there would be plenty of false prophets who would be claiming to speak for Him and do all kinds of things in His name. But Jesus will return and say He never knew them.

Therefore, it is imperative, for the sake of one's salvation, to not attach one's self to such false Messiahs, whether they be individuals or organizations comprised of many fallible humans. The WT is not the ark of Salvation, people, the blood of Jesus is!!!

Nina,

I agree with your comment and would like to share an observation with you as my two year old grandson plays nearby.

For his birthday I gave him an Elmo flashlight and he loves to play with it as we sit in the hallway both in the daytime and nighttime. In the daytime it is light all around us and we can barely see where the light is shining. But when it is DARK the light shines in one place and then he moves it to another place.

The "new light" and the "newer light" are just a matter of moving the flashlight around. They still end up with the same overall amount of DARKNESS.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

At first, it makes me sad....

Then the clouds disappear and I see clearly again.......God has a job for us, and there are people in great need...we need to pray for these people and enlighten them, attacks doesn't help.

Unfortunately, there are other cults out there, polluting the Word of God, there is plenty work to be done...

Let us also pray for those who are weak in spirit, they are easy prey, they do not yet have the full armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18)

Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.”

I like it! People are always so sure they know the Will of God.

Years ago people were more circumspect. Lincoln said '. . . we will follow the light as God gives us to see the light.' That's much more humble and more reverent!

you are right, Ray Franz wrote a book on the dangers of policy changes in the WT society. he was disfellowshipped for it and he sat on the governing body.

No all the information is already complete, the last "PROPHECY" THE FALL of all false religion is happening.

Why do you think we (JWs) are so happy? cause we are watching in TV the fall of false religion, false pastors , divided in politics , involved in wars , here in Yahoo the bad feeling against all religion EXACTLY what we told one year ago.

The fall of Ted Haggard, Pat Roberson supporting political parties, Oral Robert university cracking and involved in scandals, Benny Hinn investiguated, Catholic Chursh closing Diocese and paying 1500 million dollars, muslims creating problems even the buddist are giving problem a group that were so quiet are giving problems, Etc etc etc.

false religion is falling and very quickly, you can imagine how happy I am when I see the news and see a negtive comment about religion cause I am wachting in first line THE FALL of false religion.
