There is no such thing as God. God is something people only have in their minds. It's like an imaginary friend. If you believe there is a God, go ahead spending your entire life trying to satisfy your imaginary friend.

People who believe in God are only looking for reasons and explanations to everything. And they're not looking in the right place. Life and nature can't be explained through some imaginary force. It's ignorant and illogical to think like that.

I'd rather live my life for myself. If I'm not content with my life, there's no point to it.

Yes.

From personal experience I know without a doubt there is a God.

One time I was driving and I was like, What if there really isn't a God? I was doubting for a moment: What if all this is just a big hoax?

Then I looked up at the sky and the clouds and at all the green grass and trees.

Then I thought to myself....

Are you NUTS?!!! Of course there is a God! Look all around you!

I am not sure I believe in a conventional god anymore. At least not one that is omnipresent in our everyday lives. I am starting to think we are the product of a force of energy that can be either positive or negative. I don't feel the presence anymore. He may exist, but I now realize it was kind of crazy for me to think I had my own direct pipeline to him.
The question should be "if there is a god, what does it have to do with me?"

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

you can't know if there is or isnt - that's impossible. So, you can either:

1. believe in god, or
2. not believe in god

To believe something, there needs to be sufficient evidence to support it. If you believe something based on no evidence, then thats called: IRRATIONAL THOUGHT. There is absolutely no evidence to support god, so you should reject the idea, chose #2 and not believe.

PS: if you wanna see a direct example of this irrational thought, read charles w's response. Talk about bad logic.

Are you really serious? God lives in my heart along with Jesus. God loves you and wants to be a part of you too. All you have to do is let him in.

Ask.
It doesn't seem too much to ask for any deity to simply make contact with you. If you don't receive a direct and unambiguous response, then you have to begin by assuming that any deity is either refusing to speak, is unable to speak to you, or simply isn't there.
That's a good starting point...

There will only be opinions on this matter. As an atheist, I believe the burden of proof that there is a supreme creator is squarely on the Christians.
