God (supposing he exists) obviously exhibits a great complexity of emotion. Why is Satan thought to exhibit only hate? Maybe he has a compassionate side?

That is such a great question, lol. I think my ex is influenced by satan, being a satanist and all. Maybe I can use him as an example. Why not? He acts just like satan. Selfish, whole universe must revolve around him, tempermental, angry, defiant, sneaky, wants to be the "boss." Tries to tempt me over to the "dark side" constantly. Other that he can be pretty sensitive and compassionate. If he can do it, I am sure the real satan could do it, too.

Wasn't the whole reason of Lucifer being taken out of Heaven was because he tried to provide something to humans when he wasn't supposed too?
Don't quote me on that, as I've never really followed a religion carefully (I'm still in the whole learning process of what I can find myself capable of believing and what I can't) But I was under the impression that he had tried to provide something to humans when he wasn't supposed to and was banished. I don't see that as a bad thing,
I would have to only assume by the information I was given, that he can't really be THAT bad if that was his big crime.

What does God's ability to become angry have to do with Satan's ability to love and be kind? Are they intricately connected or related?
God's anger is also righteous anger (ie. He becomes angry at injustice).

If these people believe this God can get mad perhaps Satan is very capable of love.

Why do you assume all anger to be wrong? Do you get angry when children are abused or women raped? I do and that is a very justified anger. It's the same anger God has. Satan is angry because he is not the "boss" and wants the entire universe to be about him. The entire universe is about God because he created it.

Of course he can love. The whole reason he rebelled was because he loved us and didn't want us to be trapped under a regime run by one man and his favorite son. He wanted us all to have a choice on how we get back to Heaven. Well, that is, assuming that Heaven exists.

True. I think he supposedly does this already since he's also killed way fewer people than the god of the Bible has. Thank goodness neither of them really exist.
