She said that her X told her that he started crossdressing after his mom let his sisters put him in a dress and panties for hitting them.
I am only concerned because my girl cousins dressed my son up in a tutu and makeup last night for a bet he lost.
Has anyone know if this is true?

At some time in almost every boy's life he will wear some girl's clothes. He may do it on a dare, or as a prank, or to make others laugh, or to please a girlfriend, or a Halloween costume... whatever. Some schools allow boys to wear girl's clothes during a pep-rally skit, during spirit week, or may even conduct a "womanless beauty pageant".

There is no magic in feminine clothes that transforms the mind of a boy. Do not forget that at the end of the 19th century it was fashionable to dress young boys in curls and dresses until they were 5-6 years old... And they did not turn into crossdressers. Hemingway's mother would dress him as a girl until he was 10 years old. It did not turn him into a crossdresser!

On the other side, there are many crossdressers who identify their first experience with girls clothes very vividly. So what's going on? I believe that the brain of the crossdresser is hard wired to generate neurotransmitters which give him a sensation of pleasure, well-being, sexual gratification and self-identity when he wears feminine clothes. He has to have two things: a hard-wired brain conducive to crossdressing, and a mind set which subconsciously wishes he was a girl.

For the vast majority of boys, the act of wearing girls clothes will not be a pleasant experience. He might think he is being humiliated, or he may think he is being funny. But for a few, they will feel feminine, feel pretty, and they will relish the experience.

In conclusion, there are a lot of things to be afraid of in this world, but a boy should not be afraid of woman's clothes. There is, in fact, some who would argue that it is a healthy thing in children.

That is a bit ridiculous to make that kind of assumption. So it happened in one case but that person was probably interested in crossdressing for other reasons, not just because girls dressed him up once. Kids do all sorts of crazy things and it is okay for them to experiment without you worrying about the rest of his life. If, after the incident with his cousin, you see your son dresses himself up, asks questions about it, etc. then you should just talk to him and tell him this is something you think he shouldn't be doing and he shouldn't let others force him into in the future. Other than that, I really wouldn't be worried :)

NO, that would not lead to him being a cross-dresser. Crossdressing is a natural feeling you have to dress-up as the opposite sex. to feel more comfortable in the set "gender-specific" garb of the opposite sex.
don't be too concerned about something like that. just concentrate on assuring your son that you love him, unconditionally.
And it sounds more like that was done all in fun.

you can not make someone a crossdresser. Her X would have had these tendanciesbeforehand, but felt once this happened he could let them out. Your son will be fine. Bet he won't be making that bet again.

I don't think so. I used to dress my brother up and AFAIK he's not a crossdresser. And a friend of mine had to fight to keep HER brother away from her stuff.

Maybe dressing someone up would give him an idea about girl clothes, but my gut tells me that's unlikely.

It won't turn him into a cross dresser.

I read your post about how he had to wear the tutu, and that was fine, but again, the makeup and the hair was too much and you should have intervened on his behalf.

No this is not true and I would have to say there are more factors to some one being a cross dresser than playing around for losing a bet.

This is not true. If it is true, it would be a rare occurrence. Furthermore, if your son is old enough to be making "bets", he's past the age where this type of thing would be life -altering.

Know they probably was just playing around, but the parent
can control what the child wears so put him in boy clothing.
