I'm using a RCA cable and the sub is not working. I had the sub working before I moved and lost the cable I was using.

The problem is NOT with the cable. RCA cable should work even though it's not as good as the subwoofer cable. Practically it's hard to notice any difference among the two while watching movies.

Check your subwoofer connection and settings.

I have a Home Theater and I am using [2] Sub-woofers and the way I have them connected is by adding [2] y-splitters to the the sub output in the back of my receiver. One main splitter for the pre-out to the receiver and. One splitter into the red hole and the other into the white hole. But to answer your question I am using 8+ ft. long Monster RCA Cables, that are for Sub-woofer and they come with the red and white signal so what I would recommend is for you to recheck your connections to your Sub, and they should be (the cables connected to the line in in the back of the Sub). and if you are using [1] Sub you might want to get a high end y-splitter [male ends] to connect to your sub out on the back of your Receiver, and connect the sub cable to the y-plitter making sure that the colors match, and then check your volume and bass or hertz adjustments after all that you should be good to go.

A subwoofer cable is usually just an RCA cable.

(There is 1 exception if you get humm, but it's still an RCA cable).

You moved? Check the volume/intensity knob on the sub.

Make sure you plugged the cable into the LFE or subwoofer output jack on the receiver.

Does the receiver have test-tones? Fire them off and listen to hear if the sub produces sound.

RCA does left, right, and video. Subwoofers use a dedicated cable for the deep bass that you hear and feel. You'll probably need to purchase another cable to get the sound back.

ok there are a number of suitable solutions right here yet some are going a sprint deeper than you like. you opt for a three.5mm mini jack (for the decrease back of you pc) that splits into 2 phono's (for the decrease back of your theatre device). Plug it into the amp and not your television as somebody above turn into affirming. you ought to use the comparable connector to connect an ipod or mp3 participant on your device in case you have one.
