Really, does it have to? That's what's wrong with atheism. You don't have a clue as to right and wrong. Actually I'm not sure you care. Or even worse, can reason it out. If it was such a positive influence in the US it would be in our finest neighborhoods. It is not . It is in the nastiest parts in our cities. Laws have been made to keep them there. They draw filth and perversion. I'm sorry but you all need Jesus. He is the Way the Truth and the Life.

The key to your add on was "wives". Something you have probably have not heard of. Plus that happens to be in the Old Testament not the New which is what your question alluded to. It's too bad you folks aren't as smart as you think you are. And really not very clever either, except in your own little minds.

Do you know where the word "porno" comes from?

The word "porno" comes from the Greek word "pornos" we translate it into English commonly as fornicator. Thus the word "porno" can mean any sexually immoral act. So do a concordance search for "fornicator", "fornicate" and "fornication" you should get a pretty good start.

Obviously, there were not DVDs and high speed down loads but there was certainly everything available at the local pagan temple that you may see on your favorite disk.

The Bible teaches us about the virtue of chastity.

Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties.

Catholics believe that pornography offends against chastity because it perverts the intimate giving of spouses to each other.

It does grave injury to the human dignity of all participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others.

Actually you cannot find exactly the word pornography in the Bible, but the following passages would be helpful to consider:

2 Corinthians. 7:1 says: "Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear."

"Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite."—Colossians 3:5

The sin is "the lusts that exist in our HEARTS after viewing it"..

If anything, the Bible supports pornographic material.

In Song of Solomon 7:7-8, Solomon describes how satisfying the breasts of his lover are, and then tells how he longs to take hold of them and how he wants to climb onto the woman. And in Ezekiel 23:1-20 we read of two women with insatiable sexual appetites, and we are told of how men with penises the size of donkeys' would pour out horse-like quantities of, well, their "issue" upon these women's breasts.

And by the way, adultery is a big no-no.
