old testament, would he be in error of God> The
old testament described sacrificing animals and
having multiple wives. Is this wrong and if it was
then why were they commanded to do wrong things?

Scott:Would that mean that the Jews

The only laws that ever applied to non Jews in the Torah are the 7 Noahide (Universal Laws), and they still apply today.
If you believe that any other laws ever applied to non-Jews than those, you have been taught incorrectly by Christianity. The Church knew very well that these laws never applied to non-Jews, yet they turned around and told their followers that they DID, and that Jesus freed them from these laws.
This is an absolute, total lie. Jesus never freed any non-Jew from the laws in the Torah, because those laws never applied to them to begin with. Can't be freed from something that you were never bound by, can you.
There were never, ever any penalties or punishments for non Jews who didn't follow the Torah laws, anymore than there would be penalties today for a teacher who didn't follow the laws that govern a surgeon. See?
It's two different jobs that non-Jews and Jews have. The Torah is the guidebook for the Jews. The 7 Noahide Laws, also found in the Torah, are the guidelines for non-Jews.
Please do not believe anyone, even if its a pastor or priest or parent who tells you that you were bound by the laws in the "old testament" (Torah) and that Jesus freed you from them. Nothing could be further from the truth.
As for the 7 Noahide Laws, Jesus didn't free anyone from those either. No more than stopping at a red light once means that now you've fulfilled that law and don't need to obey it anymore.
The 7 Noahide Laws were given by God on Mt. Sinai as the way for non-Jews to merit their place in the World To Come. The Church hid it, and persecuted Jews who taught this, and murdered them. The Jews still taught it anyway. So take what came from God directly rather than what man has invented.
The Seven Noahide Laws for non-Jews:
1. Do not murder
2. Do not steal
3. Do not commit adultery
4. Do not commit idolatry
5. Do not curse God
6. Do not tear the limb from a living animal to eat (this is a prohibition on cruelty to animals)
7. Do establish courts of law in your society to make a fair and just society for all peoples.

P.S. A virgin being impregnated by a god is pagan. It is not from Judaism. If it says that in your bible it is a deliberate mistranslation by the Church. It does not say that in Hebrew, and there has never existed the concept of a messiah who is born this way, in Judaism. The Church took it from ancient pagan religions.
Nor has there ever been the concept of a human or a god/man serving as a HUMAN virgin blood sacrifice for sin. This, again, comes from ancient paganism adopted by the Church and fed to its followers now for 2000 years. It's pagan. It does not come from Judaism. The Messiah in Judaism lives a long life, is wholly human, and is not worshipped as God, because he isn't. All of those things are pagan.
Nor did Jesus fulfill ANY of the 16 or so prophecies that were given by God on Mt. Sinai. Ignore the hundreds that the Church invented, and learn what the REAL ones are. Jesus didn't do them. Not even close.
Please see the following links to learn about the REAL Messiah, according to what God gave on Mt. Sinai to the Jews:

Once again: The old testament represented the first covenant (contract) God made with His chosen people. In the New Testament Christ represented the second covenant God made. Christ came in His own words to fulfill the scripture of the Old testament. In the new convenant, the way to God is through Christ only... in other words God loved us and pitied us, so He sacrificed Jesus to save us and make Heaven attainable.
IN RESPONSE: I didn't write the Bible, I just follow it. The Jews and Muslims have the choice to believe what they want, too.

You're about 2000 years behind the times. Jesus came to fulfill the old laws. He became the perfect sacrifice, washing away the sins of those who trust in Him. Animal sacrifice merely covered those sins. That's no longer needed now that Jesus has settled the score. Same with the multiple wives – useful at one time in history but no longer needed.

No, it wasn't wrong. Following the rules and lifestyle of the OT is legalism, believing you can make it to heaven on your actions only.
Sacrificing animals was a blood sacrifice to atone for sin. Jesus was the ultimate blood sacrifice. Animal sacrifice was no longer needed.
I'm unsure about the multiple wife subject. I think Jesus talked about it somewhere in the Bible.
