Eternal life is priceless. When I think of what was given for us to be able to have the chance at eternal life, it takes my breath away. I think the question you've posed is not inclusive enough. There are many people who know about eternal life and God that still are not willing to pay the price, not just atheist. When you're in darkness, you simply can't see the light. Therefore you can't pay the price because you really don't know any other way.

There is no price for eternal life. Your a top contributor in biology so I'm a little surprised by your last question. You as well as I know that death is the permanent end of a living organism. If we are living organisms then how can atheists or anything else pay a price to live eternally?

because atheist don't have the understanding, that humans and creatures in general are too wonderfully perfect to have been "evolved" from monkeys or chances... atheist could be even called ignorants, because the creation and arragement of this world gets to a point where no more answers can be answered, and that's when faith comes in and you just start believing that there's someone greater than us. the price of eternal life depends on religion, I am a christian and i believe that the price is as simple as accepting Jesus Christ as your savior and accepting you are a sinner. That doesn't harm us or asks us to do something we dont like, even better, it changes our hearts and minds and makes us better people.

I am not willing to pay for it because I don't know what the price is. Secondly, I like to know what I am paying for. For someone trying to sell me the value of eternal life, he/she is much worse than a used car salesman. At least with the used car salesman, he would let me test out the car first.

If I told you I would sell you eternal life for 10,000 dollars would you mail me a check? How about if I threw in a bridge in New York? Some people are simply gullible and others are not.

Personally my honesty is worth a lot more than believing a lie simply because some other people who lived 2000 years ago wrote it down in a book containing talking animals.

athiest are not "willing to pay the price" because they don't feel there is a price to pay. that simple. just as christians are insistent upon saying there is a price and truly belive there is, an athiest truly feels that its laughable to live your life by rules made up by unknown individuals years and years in the past, with no real proof that any of it is true, except a fuzzy feeling you are supposed to get when you pray, that can be created in your own head, just because you feel the need to be a part of something greater. athiest are generally smart enough to realize that a perfect god who is all forgiving, wouldn't touch that bible with a ten foot pole.

Eternal life is free. The price has already been paid with the death and blood of Christ, any anyone has to do is receive it by faith and confess Jesus as their Lord and the miracle of rebirth and eternal life takes place within and death, sin, sickness, no longer has power over them.. Christ sets you free and gives you new life, a new home in heaven, a new body that will never grow old or die, a new name, up to 5 crowns to lay at His feet, a kingdom on this earth for one thousand years and a relationship with him in which Jesus calls you his brother and fellow king to rule and reign with Him. And anyone who doesn't believe, forfeits all rights to their kingship and all of the above only to spend their eternity with Satan...And this costs them everything...

Not all atheist want eternal life.

Those that do, would certainly be willing to 'pay' for it IF they thought religion could actually deliver.

Got it? They aren't unwilling to pay, they are unwilling to pay YOU, because they don't think YOU have it or actually know how to get it.

The price for eternal life was already paid 2000 years ago by Jesus when he died on the cross for our sins! That is the good news - we do not have to pay a price, all we have to do is our ABC's - Admit that we are sinners; Believe that Christ died on the cross for our sins; and Confess Him as our Lord and Savior. Atheists don't have to pay a price either - they simply choose not to do the three things I mentioned above.

that simply depends on your view of eternal life and whether or not that person shares your particular belief. i am agnostic. i live by manners and good morals. i feel as long as i am doing the right thing then i trust in the judgment of whatever benevolent force is above. he/she/it will make the right choice concerning my eternal life. if he/she/it is all-seeing then they should know what is in my heart even better than i.
