It's when your feet and ankles mainly, turn black because of lack of blood flow. I think people who eat a lot of turkey get gout. I know it's been called a rich mans disease because it can be caused by rich food and has a lot to do with your diet.

Liek the other answers gout is very painful but it is a little more than inflammation in a joint. You have a chemical in your body called uric acid when there is a build up of this it settles in the joints and that is what causes the swelling and pain. There are certain type of medications specifically for gout like colchacine. You have to get a prescription from a doctor. god luck if you have some people have a hard time dealing with others do well. If you have gout you want to stay away from salty foods and ones that are high in soduim like canned food-tv dinner and other frozen foods. Good luck

Very bad pain, usualy Ibuprofen will work to get rid of the pain(check 1st with your doctor)
