Look into your heritage. Research common symbols or get a phrase or word translated into the language of your ancestors. I always love when people do this because the tattoo has true meaning. Find something that you can tell a story about, since that is what makes a truly great tattoo.

can't send u a photo, but i have a beautiful butterfly in that very spot. guys love it! I was pretty scared to have it done, but it really wasn't that bad. I had it done in Texas. One thing to think about.....it will be there forever unless you have the painful process of removal and then u end up with a scar. whatever it is you decide to place there or anywhere- using lovers names usually isn't a good idea.

it depends on where you are getting it. on the ancle do somehting simple like a shape, or above the butt do like fairy or liek a rose with vines.

How about a dachshund? Can stretch right across your lower back, and it sets you up for all kinds of wiener jokes.

get one with a meaning to you personally.......for example maybe a butterfly reminds you of your late grandmother...something like that that you can tell your story if someone asks about it and you'll be less likely to regret it later
