No. After bringing forth her Son, Mary "wrapped Him up in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger" (Luke 2:7), a sign that she did not suffer from the pain and weakness of childbirth. This inference agrees with the teaching of some of the principal Fathers and theologians: St. Ambrose St. Gregory of Nyssa, St. John Damascene, the author of Christus patiens, St. Thomas, etc.
It was not becoming that the mother of God should be subject to the punishment pronounced in Genesis 3:16, against Eve and her sinful daughters.

It is a "pious belief" that some Catholics hold that Mary did not suffer the pains of childbirth. However, this is not canon, and Catholics are free to hold the opposite view.
I personally believe she suffered pain, which was part of her offering to the Lord in bringing Him into the world. At the very least, she was willing to suffer such pain, because when she agreed to allow this to happen to her (see Luke 1), she had no way of knowing whether or not she would suffer pain.

For anyone to say differently would be like calling God a liar, and His Word not true. God states that we women will suffer the pain of childbirth for the sin of Eve. He didn't say women except for Mary. Also, God's word states that only Jesus was blameless, or sinless. To think otherwise is, again, saying that God's word is not true.

Just as she had no pain at her death
Mary was assumed into Heaven
She was taken up under GOD'S power; she did not ascend into Heaven under her own power as our Lord did! As always, the beauty of Mary's story is due to the grace of God!
Why try to diminish Mary's status and the unceasing accusations against Catholics of trying to raise her status to that of God's.
We Catholics take great care in pointing out that "worship" in the sense of latria is GOD'S alone -- even to the point of having separate terms for the honor and adoration due to God as opposed to the honor and veneration of the Saints -- including His greatest Saint, Mary.
To love Mary takes nothing at all from Christ, but honors our Blessed Lord by Whose grace she is who she is: His greatest creation, the greatest of Saints, the Queen of Heaven, the Immaculate Conception, the spotless Virgin, the Ark of the Covenant, the New Eve, the mother of God, and the mother of Israel -- our mother who wants nothing more for us than to pray for us and show us her Son.
Please, leave Mary, Jesus, and us Catholics in peace.

She was exempt from pain and suffering except for a sword that was going to pierce her heart...! BTW Saint Joseph didn't rule over the Blessed Virgin Mary... She had the affair with God the Holy Ghost behind Saint Joseph's back!

Jesus was born just like any normal child. The only difference is that he was concieved by the Holy Ghost of God and not by man. Therefore he never had mans sin nature.

The Catholic Church teaches that the Blessed Virgin Mary (who was free from sin throughout her entire life) merited to bear and to bring forth the Incarnate God without suffering pain or distress of any kind.

Pain in childbirth was imposed by the fact that human children have shoulders and larger craniums than other mammals.

I'm not Christian. Mary did suffer from the pain of birth but as a Muslim, I don't beleive that women suffer because of Eve as no one can carry the burden of another.

Maybe, but probably not. The birth pangs mentioned in Revelation 12 probably refer to the pain of Mary in "giving birth" to the crucified Christ, whose death would have been more painful for her than for anyone else.
