Do you think you could trust her again? I think that would be the hardest part. I've thought of this scenario with my husband who left our pretty good marriage because he got to be too good of friends with a woman in his office. The thing I always get stuck on is trust. Sure, we get along okay (on a supreficial level), I still am attracted to him, it would be the best possible thing for our son if we were back together, but could I ever trust him again? Since he hasn't wanted to come back, I don't know if I could or not.

To everyone else who hasn't been in this kind of situation, you have no basis to give advice until you've been there yourself. I always thought if he cheated on me I'd be totally done with him, but when it actually happened, and we had a child, my willingness to fix things surprised me.

Kids do not break up relationships. Adults are the ones who have the power and the say. Adults are the older usually more mature and wiser. Adults have the final say in almost everything including ending relationships.

I would think back to why we split up to begin with. There had to have been a good reason to break up with someone, otherwise you wouldn't do it right? That would pretty much be my answer right there.

No way...it will never work. To much baggage.Go solo for a year and one day you will feel like a weight suddenly lifted off your chest. You will then wonder what you ever saw in him.

no i would have to say absolutely not on that one....forgiveness only goes so far in a situation and to invite this sort of drama with others is only setting YOU in a trap

Kids don't break up a marriage... adults do.
