This is a Bible question that deserves a Bible answer!
In Acts 2, when those in the multitude heard the sermon Peter and the other apostles preached, they asked "What shall we do?"
Obviously they had come to believe that Jesus was Lord and Christ. In fact, Peter had told them they should know this fact assuredly! (Verse 36)
In answer to this question, therefore, Peter told them to "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins." (Verse 38)
This is exactly what Christ had instructed the apostles to preach! In Luke 24:47, Jesus speaking of himself said, "Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Compare this to what Peter preached to men gathered from every nation in Jerusalem (Acts 2:5, 38)!
Jesus said, "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:18-20). This is the plan of salvation followed in every example of the conversion of an alien sinner in the New Testament after this point in time.
Some may tell you that if you believe and are saved, then you shall be baptized. This is not the same thing Jesus said. It is not in the same order!
What would Jesus have said if he had meant "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved"?
The question "What must I do to be saved" is also asked and answered in Acts 16.
The keeper of the Jail asked this question in verse 30. In verse 31 the answer began, "“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ..."
Many mistakenly stop with this verse, but the next verse says, "Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him..." They not only told him to "believe", but they continued to teach him what to believe.
Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God". They told him to believe and then they taught him "the word of the Lord" so he could have faith.
This teaching about Jesus obviously included included teaching about baptism because the next verse says he was baptized the same hour of the night, "about midnight"! (verses 25, 33)
Notice he was baptized immediately! In fact every example of a conversion in the Book of Acts specifically mentions baptism, and the converts were always baptized immediately! None of them ate, drank, slept, or continued a journey until they were baptized!
Saul is a good example of the necessity of baptism. He spoke to Jesus. He called Jesus “Lord” and he asked what he needed to do to be saved.
Jesus told him to go into the city and it would be told to him what he “must do”.
In the city he fasted for three days and he was praying. (Acts 9:9-11) Many would say he was saved at that point, but he still had not been told what he “must do”.
Then he was told to be baptized and wash away his sins “calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16). Obviously, “calling on the name of the Lord” involved more that saying ‘Lord’, more than praying, more than belief and more than repentance. Saul had done all of these things, but he still needed to call on the name of the Lord!
The phrase “calling on the name of the Lord” means to rely on His authority. Saul had not done this until he did what the Lord authorized (instructed), namely “be baptized”. (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:18-20, read Luke 24:47 along with Acts 2:5 & 38).
Please note, even though he had not eaten or drank for three days, he was baptized before he took food. (Acts 9:18-19) This shows the urgency of baptism. Again, none of the new converts in the book of Acts ate, drank, slept or continued a journey until they had been baptized!
All of the converts in Acts followed the same plan:
They heard the gospel preached.
They believed.
They repented of their sins.
They confessed Jesus.
and they were "Baptized into Christ" (Romans 6:3-4, Gal 3:27).
At baptism, these repentant believers "rose to walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4) (i.e, they were "born again")!
This is the same plan we must follow today in order to be saved!

God loves all his children, however to recieve the blessings of eternal life on grace alone would be madness, we must do certain things while here on the earth to be worthy of recieving eternal life, first we must have faith in the lord jesus christ, second baptism by emersion for the remision of sins, third laying on the hands for the gift of the holy ghost. however baptism alone cannot save us alone, we must also make certain covenants with the lord, as well as endure to the end. If you are really serious about this question, read the bible, especially the new testament, as well as the book of mormon, and pray about God will answer your prayers through a still small voice, then you will know what to do , but if not contact some missionarys to teach you the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tell God you are a sinner in need of His help to be worthy of Heaven.
Recognize that Jesus is God's only son. His life and death are your only way to get to Heaven.
Trust that Jesus's death and resurrection can save you from your sin.
Spread the love you find in God throughout the world so that others may be saved, also.

believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, and He died on the cross for your sins, and with your heart you believe unto righteousness, and with your mouth your confession is made into salvation.
for whoso ever Shall call upon the Lord Jesus Christ Shall be saved
for by grace through faith are ye saved, not of works that any should boost.
today is the day of salvation, call upon the Lord while He is near.
may God richly Bless You

Let's see what the Bible says. "Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2:38-39)
The Philippian jailer asked the very same question you did. Here's how that went: "The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." (Acts 16:29-31)
The Gospel is simple. We trust in Jesus' finished work on our behalf, turning from our sins in the process. Very simple.

The Bible says very plainly and very clearly ( believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shall be saved) but it is not just a matter of believing that Jesus is Lord. Satan believes that. It is a matter of receiving him as your Lord. All you have to do is ask him to save you and he will if you mean it. Just know this, you cannot lie to God and you cannot trick God. You have to be serious and sincere.

Romans 10:9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10:10 For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.
Pretty simple really

I think the minimum requirements and obligations are:
1) Accept Jesus christ as your lord and savior, and your god.
2) Repent your sins.
There are additional ones that are controversial:
3) Get baptized
Don't let anyone tell you that this salvation is any "free gift." It isn't. No free gift has requirements or obligations.

repent of sins, be filled w/ holy ghost evidenced by speaking w/ other tongues as God gives the utterance, and get baptized in Jesus' name(specifically), live a holy life enduring to the end. See Acts 2:38-9. You can e-mail me for more info. But you can go to upci.org, if you'd rather not contact a stranger. God Bless!!!!!
